//MoonLight Crater Pack //

Dear Reader, This is my first 'book' on the creative writing. I hope you enjoy this suspence story of Ghost and her father's pack and all the dangers that are in store for them. Please comment and tell me what you think!

Characters- (Main)
The color Black will be the color of any wolf only used once or twice.

E'Fare- Aphla male, and Ghost's Father
Dawn- Alpha Female and Ghost's Mother
Ash- Best friend of Ghost
BlackSun- Pack elder taught in the old myths and ways
Nathan (Nat)- Old friend of Ghost- since practicaly birth
Neptune- A warrior of pack
Ghost- Main Character!

Terms-

~Scared Shadow Pack- rising enemy of MoonLight Crater Pack

Leader- Scar

~MoonLight Crater Pack-- Pack located in a crator surrounded by thick forest.
~Morning Moon- The sun
~Red Flower- Fire
~Two legs- Humans

~More will be added as needed... same with the characters.

Each chapter is one day in the life of the pack.

//Chapter 1//

Ghost woke to the bright light of the morning moon. Her blue eyes looked outside the family den and watched as the pack began to awake to the start of a new day.
Walking into the den, E'Fare nuzzled his daughter gently, "Goodmorning my sweet." He cooed with his deep gruff voice. He had three scars that crossed his eye as a sign of his leadership and loyalty to his pack. No one knew where or who they come from.
Ghost yawned and looked up into her father's eyes. She rolled over on her stomach and stretched.
E'Fare grinned, hiding the shadow that covered his deep green eyes.
Cocking her head in a puppy like fashion, Ghost stood. "What's that matter?"
"Nothing that I can't handle."
Rolling her eyes Ghost answered, "Fine, don't talk to me about it." She flickled her snow white tail and padded out of the den, leaving E'Fare alone.

The pack was awake and moving. Cute pups tackled eachother as their mother tried to stop the comotion. Ghost smiled and walked to the stream to take a drink. She bent down and took a swig of the clear crisp water. She looked down at her reflection and noticed the image of another wolf behind her.
Grinning, Nathan pushed Ghost into the cold water. He laughed as he watched her dart out of the water and shiver. "Lovely day, isn't it?" He asked, pretending not to notice.
Ghost gritted her teeth. A cool breeze blew, stinging the friged skin under her coat. A sly grin crossed her face as she walked up to him. In one quick movement, she shook her coat, showering him with drops of icey water.
"Eh!" He glared at her, "What was that for!?"
"It is a nice day." She agreed, ignoring his cold stare.
Nathan shook his head, trying to hide his smile. He dipped his tail in the water and flicked it at her.
"Thats it!" She exclaimed, "This is war!" She jumped forward and pinned him to the ground. But, he kicked her off and they rolled down the bank right into the stream! Ghost coughed and splured as she crawled out and layed on the muddy bank. She looked at Nathan beside her and they both broke out in laughter.
Nathan turned on his back and looked at Ghost, His eyes sparkling.
She grinned and looked away, hiding her blush.
Sighing contently, Nathan said, "I really---"
A rustling sound came from the bushes behind.
Nathan's ears perked and he looked in the direction of the noise. He growled slightly, watching for any danger.
Neptune emurged from the brush, his head head high and his purple eyes gleaming. His powerful legs walked gracefully over toward the two wolves. "Hello Ghost." He said smiling at her; not even looking at Nathan.
Ghost nodded and kept her cool as her heart skipped a beat.
"You look like a full moon. So bright and beautiful." He said softly.
Nathan scowled and looked down, unable to bring himself to say anything. I am just a wolf. He is a warrior... He thought to himself.
"You flater me, Neptune."
"You don't flater me." Nathan growled.
Ghost glared at him, "Nat!" She exclaimed in a hush tone, so only he could hear her.
"Oh, Nathanial." Neptune smirked, "I didn't see you there."
"Likely story." He mumbled, his shoulder's slumping. He nodded to Ghost then bounded away into the forest.
"Sorry about that." Ghost told Neptune, "I don't know what happened to him..."
His eyes watched Nathan dissapear, "Who cares for him anyways. Just a weakling trying to get frisky with the alpha's daughter.
Ghost frowned at the thought. "But I have known him since birth...."
"Most guy's are like that Ghost. Wanting power... and not to be ruse, but you are an easy ticket to alpha."
Ghost's eyes watered, and she turned from Neptune.
"Ghost?"
"Go." She ordered weakly, her legs trembling.
He lowered his head. "I am sorry if I said anything..." He bowed then turned and walked out of sight.
Ghost fell to the ground and whimpered. A sinle tear rolled down her cheek. She shuddered at the thought of males using her to gain power in the pack. Neptune's words echoed, 'Your an easy ticket to alpha'.

A couple hours later, Ghost stood, her eyes swollen and red. She walked back to the pack and was about to walk into the family den when she heard her parent's talking. She stopped and hid to the side of the den enterance and listened.
"Honey, are you sure thats what they saw?" Dawn asked, her voice shaking.
"Yes. If I didn't trust this report, I wouldn't have bothered you with it."
"I find it hard to believe, you said you took care of him years ago." She siad, pointing to her husband's scar.
E'Fare paused, "So did I, But it's clear what his intentions are." He said slowly.
"Look, whatever you discide to do, I honestly think you should learn more before you make accusations that might or might not be true." Dawn looked at him sternly, "Never eat your dinner without chewing."
He growled, "I know what I am doing."
"Do You?" She asked, raising her eyebrow.
He stuttered, "I... uh......" there was a long paused. E'Fare raised his head and looked away from his wife's pleading eyes. "I do." He flicked his tail and stood, heading out the den, leaving Dawn standing there shaking her head.
Ghost scampered off out of sight before she was seen. When E'fare was in a bad mood, better not cross him, or you would have a problem on your paws.
Ghost padded threw the woods, looking around with an uneasy feeling. She looked over her shoulder every minute or two. What were they talking about? She wondered.

Nathan sat on a boulder, lonely. He didn't understand how Neptune could be so rude, and yet everyone thought high of him. Then suddenly, the wolf he wanted dead walked up to him. Nathan growled, "What do you want!?"
Neptune chuckled, "You think hitting on the Alpha's daughter will get you any where in life?"
"I don't hit on her. She's my friend." Nathan answered gruffly as he stood up.
"Just a friend?"
Nathan glared at him, "Iven if she was more than just a friend, she doesn't like me in that way. She's blind and is falling for you" He hissed.
"You think she feels for me that way?" He said, raising an eyebrow and trying to act surprised.
"Don't play stupid with me. You may be a warrior, but that means nothing about your character."
"Are you threatening me?" Neptune barked, barring his white teath.
"Maybe I am!" Nathan yelled, "There's something not right about you... and I will figure it out. You better run or you will regret it."
"You think highly of yourself, Nathaniel."
"You got that backwards!" Nathan jumped from the boulder onto Neptune. He dug his claws into his dark coat and bit his neck.
Neptune growled and kicked Nathan against the bloulder.
Nathan yelped and feel to the ground, everything went black.
"You were unwise, little one, to threaten and then pull off that stunt. " He chuckled and walked off, leaving the wolf unconscious. "Hopefully you will one day learn your lesson."

Her soul was deeply troubled after her talk with E'Fare. Dawn walked quietly to BlackSun's den. She needed advice, and the wisedom of the pack elder.
"Come in, Dear Dawn." BlackSun called before Dawn had even made it to the entrance of the den. "You are troubled."
Dawn couldn't help but smiled. There was no hiding anything from the old wolf. "I am."
"Do tell. I may tell feelings, but something I must be told." She said, her gray eyes seaching the alpha female.
"It's E'Fare. He stumbled onto some information that one Warrior brought. He's already made up his mind into taking action without learning more about what he is up against." She tried to word her sentence so not to tell of what was discovered.
BlackSun chuckled, "That boy." She closed her eyes and remembered the past, "Look Dear, E'Fare loves his pack more then life itself. Whatever he found out was a threat and he wanted to act on it right away."
"I understand that but---"
"Dawn, You remember the tail of Jay'Tar?" When Dawn shook her head BlackSun continued. "He was a pack leader long ago. His spies said the Two legs sent Red Flower into the forest. If He hadn't acted right away, The whole pack would have perished." She paused and watched Dawn, "Trust him. He knows what he is doing. But if not, and darkness covers the future moon, encourage him... for he will need your loving care.
Dawn sighed. She knew BlackSun was right, even through she hated to admit it. "Thank you. You have lightned my soul."
The elder nodded, "I enjoyed our little chat. Dear, come back soon. No one visits these old bones that often anymore." She said saddly.
Dawn smiled, "Of Course, BlackSun, I shall be back."
Dawn left the den and walked out into the sunshine. Her talk with BlackSun had helped, but she still felt like something wasn't quite right.

Ghost darted threw the woods untill she was far from her father and the den. She peered around the forest and grinned when she saw Ash. Ghost walked over, "Ash, you will never guess!'
Ash turned her head and looked at her friend, "What is Ghost? You look pretty spooked."
"I over head my parents... My mothers upset and my Father is taking action... but I don't know whats going on! And of course, I am just there 'little' daughterer that isn't told anything!" Ghost sulked and complained.
Ash shook her head, "Whats the big deal? probably nothing. But guess what!?'
"But--"
"You know Nathan?"
"Of Course I do, but--'
"Well, word is," She said, lowering her voice. "Him and Neptune got in a fight. Neptune slaughtered him! I feel bad for Poor Nat, But my! That Neptune, I would give a leg just to get to know that wolf!'
Ghost's mouth fell, "Nat? Where is he? Is He okay?'
Flicking her tail in bordly Ash said, "Oh He's fine, just bruised."
GHost nodded slowly, glad to hear he was still breathing.
"But Neptune!' Ash sighed, a smiled crossing her face as she stared into space.
Ghost rolled her eyes. "Yup, Neptune's his name. He's okay.... I guess..."
"What the mater?" Ash inquired, looking back toward Ghost.
"He's charming, Thats for sure." She said with a smile, "I don't know..."
Ash groaned, "Oh no!" She wailed, ".... You like him too?!'
"I don't know..."
"This will be great! We're going to fight over this dude and---"
"Look Ash! I DON"T KNOW!"
"Are those the only words you do know?" She growled.
Why are you getting so mad? He's a nice guy... but...."
"But What?!"
"I don't--'
"For the last time! I know you don't know!" Ask stood as she barked her words. "Ghost, sometimes I wonder about you." She flicked her tail and with that, she left.
