The Haunted Dog

Chapter 1: Smart Idea

" Please Mom, can we get a dog?" said Autumn and Allison.
" No, we are not getting one until its Spring. You have to wait until Winter is over. Or until you can show me that you can take care of pets on your own."

Autumn and Allsion Leaves, ages 9, was born in Los Angelos, California. They want a dog, but they know that here in LA, the dogs cost $1,000 or more! They knew they couldn't afford it, but while Allison was drinking her hot chocolate, she had a brilliant plan. She was going to raise money with Autumn to buy the dog that she wanted! They wanted a Border Collie and her name would be Summer. They imagined that she would have more fun than any 9 year old in the world!

The next day, they asked their parents.
" Please Mom! We have a good plan to buy that dog that we want!" said Autumn.
" Please Dad! Its a really good plan!" said Allsion.
" Let's hear your plan." said Dad, unhappily.
" Well, we thought since we have LOTS of stuff that don't fit me and Allison, we thought of having a garage sale with all the stuff that don't fit me, Allison, you, or Mom. We can also sell some stuff that we don't want." Said Autumn.
" Wow! I think that's a good plan, girls! We should do that!" said Mom.

The next day, they were picking out stuff that they wanted to sell at the sale. They had chosen some unworn clothing, teddy bears, dolls, jewelry, lamps, and a lot more stuff that they didn't want. They went to buy a poster so they can advertise their sale.
" I think that this is the best thing that you have thought of!" said Autumn.
" Nah. It was nothing." said Allison.
They got a bright green poster board and used a black marker and started writing. They had planned out what they were going to write. " Come to our Garage Sale! We have lots of unused stuff and a lot of items in good shape! Please come to this address. 0000 Zero St.
" Great poster girls! I like it! Where should we put it? Maybe a place with a lot of cars!" said Mom
" Just what were were thinking of!" the girls said.

The next day was great! The garage sale was awesome! There was a bunch of families grabbing stuff. There was even this family that spent $534! They got lots of stuff.
" Shall we count the money now?" asked Dad
" Definetly!" said Autumn.
They started counting the money. So far, they had reached $701.84.
" 999.... 1,000... 1,001... 1,002... 1,003. You guys got a lot of money! Great job! Now we can go out and get that dog! So they went off with the money.
