Chapter 1:

Does it ever seem like you live in a boring town?
Does it ever seem like your whole life is boring?
Well I thought so. I was just a regular 16 year-old girl. Wearing whatever was the trend. Hanging out with friends. Yep, I, Sarah Kate Conley, was just a regular girl. I loved my life but, in my heart I wanted something exciting to happen but I knew nothing ever would. I lived in the little town of Water Creak, Pennsylvania and on the street of the Hollow wood. I lived in a small yellow home, with four windows on the front side and four on the back side. We also had a small backyard with a few trees and flowers. Anyways, it was a Friday, sometime in early October, when a new family moved in next door to us. I stared out my window watching them move in. I saw a mom, dad, and a dark brown haired boy. He looked to be my age. He had dark blue eyes and looked…. Sad. He just sat in the front lawn, watching the movers and sighed once in a while. My mom, Janice, opened my door, wearing a yellow apron and carrying a yellow cake with white icing. My mom had brown eyes and blonde hair. Oh, and was a great cook.
“Sarah? Would you like to come with me to bring this cake to our new neighbors?” my mom asked. I looked at the boy sitting in the front yard. I turned and said,
“Sure, I guess.” I got up from my floor and followed my mom out of my room and out of the house. My mom saw the mom and dad helping the movers load boxes in and headed over to them. I followed her. The mom and dad saw us and said together, “Hello!”
“Hi! I’m Janice and this is my daughter, Sarah,” my mom said. “We’ve brought this cake for you to welcome your family!”
“Thank you! This is a wonderful cake, I’m Lara and this is my husband, Dave,” the mom said. “Oh let me call my son over here. Oh, Jackson, please come over here.” The boy slowly got up and saw me. He stared at me for a moment, and then came over to us.
“Hi……..” Jackson said with a sigh. Lara looked at Jackson seeing how unhappy he was then Lara turned back to us.
“Well thank you again and I hope we’ll see you around soon!” Lara said taking the cake from my mother’s arms. My mom smiled and we headed back to our house. It was so strange how Jackson stared at me. It’s was like…… he was in love with me or something. I took that thought off my mind and went to my room and continued to watch our new neighbors until they were done getting their boxes in the house. I ate dinner and went to bed thinking about Jackson.

Chapter 2:
The Diner

The next day around 11:00 a.m., I thought about going to Jackson’s house and inviting him to lunch with me. Finally I decided I would. I had a small blue car. It was used, but at least I had a car. Again, I was a regular girl. Most regular teenage girls that lived in Wood Creak, Pennsylvania, had used cars. At least my friends did. I asked my mom and she was fine with it. I went over to Jackson’s house and rung the doorbell. Lara answered the door and said, “Hello Sarah! What’s brings you here?”
“Well Mrs. Lana, I wanted to ask Jackson if he wanted to go to lunch with me,” I said.
“Oh! He would love to,” Mrs. Lara said with a smile. “Jackson! Please come down here!” Jackson slowly walked down their long staircase then saw me. Again he stared for a moment then walked over to us.
“Yeah?” Jackson asked.
“This young lady wants to take you out to lunch,” Mrs. Lara said.
“Oh, ok,” Jackson said. Jackson and I headed over to my car and drove to the diner. Jackson didn’t talk at all along the way so I didn’t either. When we got to the diner and were looking at our menus I asked him,
“So where did you move from?”
“Florida,” Jackson answered, not even looking up at me. I sighed. I guess he wasn’t exciting at all. When our food arrived I tried making conversation again.
“Did you have many friends in Florida?”
“Not really.”
“Did you visit the beach much?” I asked.
“A little.” Jackson answered. I sighed again. Then I thought up an idea.
“My friends and I are going to a dance club tonight, do you want to come?” I asked hoping for a yes. Jackson dropped his fork on his plate. He stared at me. Then said,
“No, I can’t,”
“Why not?” I asked.
“I can’t! I have….. Plans,” Jackson answered.
“What kind of plans?” I asked.
“Do all girls ask so many questions? I mean, I’m going to…. Go out to dinner with my family tonight,” Jackson said. I looked at him suspiciously. Jackson just picked up his fork and started to eat again.

Chapter 3:

That night instead of going to the dance club, I stayed at home and looked out my window, watching for Jackson and his family to go to dinner. I watched. I waited. Nothing. By now I had figured out that Jackson had lied. Right when I was about to give up, I saw something hairy rush past Jackson’s front yard and disappear. I rushed out my bedroom door and I ran out the front door. I heard something howl in the forest behind some houses across the street. I ran after the sound in my pajamas and a flashlight. I ran through the forest following the howling sound. I hid behind to bushes and peeked from behind them. I saw something hairy. Something big. I saw a werewolf. I gasped and the werewolf turned around hearing my gasp. He smelt the air and started to walk over to the bush. I stood up quickly and when I saw the werewolf up close I felt a chill up my spine. I was about to scream until I looked at the werewolf’s eyes. They were dark blue. I stared at the werewolf as the werewolf didn’t move but stared right back at me.
“You’re…… you’re…. Jackson!” I trembled.
“Yes…. It’s me” said Jackson in a deep, dark voice.
“But you’re a werewolf! Werewolves don’t exist!” I said.
“Yes they do. I was turned into one,” Jackson said.
“How?” I asked.
“Well one night in Florida I was walking home and something popped out and bit me. I thought it was a dog but the next night… I turned into a werewolf. So that means I was bit by another werewolf,” Jackson answered. Jackson started to sniff the air.
“What are you doing?” I asked.
“I smell food. I can’t resist food when I’m a werewolf,” Jackson said, continuing to sniff the air. “I must go.” Jackson took off with a howl and I secretly followed. I saw him creeping up on a deer. The rest I didn’t watch. I just closed my eyes, listening to Jackson eat and howl. When I heard nothing I opened my eyes and asked,
“Is there any way to turn you back to normal?” Jackson turned around and looked at me with his hungry eyes.
“Yeah, why? Jackson asked.
“Well I would help….” I said.
“It’s too dangerous,” Jackson said.
“Listen up! I’ve had enough of boring! I want excitement!” I said. Jackson stared. Then he giggled.
“Well…… fine I’ll tell you tomorrow at lunch,” He said. “Right now I am going to howl at the moon and eat. Not much interesting for you” I nodded. I left the forest and went to bed.

Chapter 4:

That night as I thought about Jackson I could hear him howl. I couldn’t believe what happened that night. The next day around noon I went to pick up Jackson. He answered the door and we drove in my car to the diner. After we had eaten, Jackson explained the adventure we would be getting into.
“Well I don’t exactly know...” Jackson said looking down.
“What? Well if you don’t know then we need to do some research,” I said. “We could go to the library and look for werewolf myths in books and on the library’s computers.”
“That sounds like a good idea,” Jackson said. Jackson and I went back to my car and headed over to the library. When we got there we first looked at some books containing mythical creature stories and myths. We looked at many myths but this one really caught our attention
‘Hey look at this book,” I said. “Once it was said that werewolves ruled a land. That land was full of mythical creatures. Dragons, unicorns, serpents, and many more. The ruler of all the werewolves and the land was king Sinister. He was a mean king but the other werewolves had to obey him if they wanted to stay alive. Finally the mighty fire dragon, Ember, defeated king Sinister in a sword battle and banned all of the werewolves from the land. Some say King Sinister is still alive, creating a werewolf army…..”
“Wow,” Jackson said. “Do you think it’s true?”
“I guess,” I answered.
“Well I guess it’s worth a try,” Jackson said. I nodded. We headed out of the library and went over to my home. Both of my parents were gone. My mom and dad were shopping so Jackson and I went to my room. We sat down on my bed and started to discuss the plan.
“Ok, I got a flashlight, lighter, some clothing and bug spray,” I said.
“Ok, I’ll go get my stuff and we’ll meet up at my house at 6:30 p.m.,” Jackson said.
“Alright,” I said. Jackson left and I sat on my bed thinking about what I was getting into. Was it safe? What about mom and dad? What if this myth wasn’t true? I didn’t know any of these answers but I was helping a friend and I wasn’t backing down. Now, what was I going to tell my parents? I would have to sneak out I guess. If I say I’m spending the night somewhere and I wasn’t back for a few days, what would my parents say? Anyways, when it was 6:30 p.m, my parents were watching TV and I quietly snuck pass them, closing the door quickly and quietly. I ran over to Jackson’s house, about to ring his doorbell when Jackson popped out from behind me.
“Ok, ready to go? Jackson said.
“Yeah,” I said with a smile. Jackson started to breath hard.
“What’s wrong with you? I asked.
“Soon… very soon I’ll be… turning into a werewolf,” Jackson said breathing heavily. “Take me into the forest; I don’t want anyone else to see me turn into a werewolf. We ran into the forest as fast as we could. Once we were deep into the forest it happened. Jackson was turning into a werewolf.

Chapter 5:

We dropped our Backpacks on a log and it happened. A swirl of wind spun around Jackson. He grew some furry wolf ears. His hands turned into massive paws and claws. He grew a nose and around his face fur grew. Out came a bushy tail. The rest of his body became furry. The very thick fur made Jackson’s shirt and jeans start to rip. His feet were also replaced by massive paws and claws. The wind stopped. Jackson was still. Everything was quiet except for Jackson’s heavy breathing. Then he let out a long howl. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. When he was done he looked at me. He saw me staring at him and he knew why.
“Hey, you ready to go?” Jackson asked me.
“Yeah, but how do we find king sinister or any werewolves?” I asked.
“Werewolves have an excellent sense of smell. I’m sure I can track down the scent of another werewolf.” Jackson said. Jackson smelled the air.
“I smell something, maybe a werewolf,” Jackson said. “Follow me.” Jackson got on four paws and started to run. I followed him. Soon I was hiding behind a bush as Jackson approached another werewolf. The other werewolf looked just like Jackson but with forest green eyes. The other werewolf was feasting on an animal. Jackson approached the werewolf quietly. Then Jackson stopped.
“Hello, I’m a werewolf too,” Jackson said with his deep, dark, werewolf voice. The werewolf turned around, his eyes were hungery and his teeth sharp.
“What do you want,” the werewolf said, breathing heavily. “I could eat you in one bite! You call yourself a werewolf but you’re to puny to be one!”Jackson stared angerly at him. Then Jackson said,
“Who are you to call me puny!”
“Well, I happen to have been a werewolf solider trainer!” the werewolf said. Jackson just stared.
“Then do you know where king sinister is? I want to turn back to normal” Jackson said trying to calm down.
“Yeah, but no one has EVER gotten turned back to normal because they could never defeat king sinister in the battle to be turned back to normal,” the werewolf said.
“Could you teach me how to fight?” Jackson asked.
“Listen kid, I’ve trained many werewolves to be turned back to normal but they’ve all failed. I’m sure you’re no different,” the werewolf said with a sigh. Then all of a sudden, the werewolf started to sniff the air. “I smell human.” The werewolf started to run torward the bush I was hiding behind but Jackson popped up in front of him and said,
“Stop! She is my friend! Don’t make me fight you!” the werewolf stopped and looked at Jackson. The werewolf saw Jackson’s determination to protect me and said,
“So you really think you’re ready?”
“Yes,” Jackson said with a growl.
“Will you defeat that king?” the werewolf said.
“Yes!”
“Can you make the journey?”
“Yes!”
“Alright, fine. But no fooling around!” the werewolf said in a stern voice. I peeked out from behind the bush. “Come on out, you.” I did. The werewolf sniffed me. I just stood still. “Your little girlfriend can come if you two behave.” I smiled.
“Uh, she’s not my girlfriend,” Jackson said. The werewolf winced at me and said,
“Well anyways, let’s get to work,” the werewolf said. “Stay here.” Five minutes and the werewolf was back with two huge rocks. “Lift these.” Jackson looked at the rocks then went over to take them. Jackson weakly lifted the rocks in the air then his arms dropped to the ground with the rocks. “You sure need some help.” The werewolf said. “By the way, my name’s Jake.”
“Hi Jake, I’m Jackson, and this is Sarah,” Jackson said, pointing to me. “Oh no, the sun’s coming up.” Then a swirl spun around Jackson returning all his human fetures. Jake stood there, unchanged.
“Why are you still a werewolf?” I asked.
“Because, I lost the battle against King Sinister for my freedom and he made me stay a werewolf forever. Now when the sun comes up, I am unchanged. I had my chance, now it’s yours.
“Wait, wait, wait, so if I lose this battle against King Sinister, I will be a werewolf forever? Jackson said, very alarmed.
“Yes,” Jake answered. Jackson looked at me with a worried face. I looked back at him with the same expression. “Now, let’s get to work. We’ll need some supplies. Like some big rocks.”
“Or we could just go to the exercise store,” Jackson said. I giggled.
“Oh, yeah,” Jake said.
“One problem, we can’t bring a werewolf into town,” Jackson said.
“Who says we can’t? All we need is a leash, collar, and a comb,” I said. “I’ll go buy them and come back. You two stay here.” I said. Jackson nodded. “Ok, be right back.” I ran out of the forest and ran on the sidewalk into town to get the supplies.

Chapter 6:

Meanwhile, last night my parents noticed I was gone.
“I’m sure she went somewhere and will be right back,” my dad said. My dad had short black hair and brown eyes. My mother looked at him, very worried. Then she looked out the window and saw my car. My dad came over and stared. My mom and dad called the police and they rushed right over. My mom wept on my dad’s shoulder as he explained the situation.
“We will do the best we can sir,” the policeman said writing on a pad with a pen. Other policemen stood outside, watching for me. The next day my parents and some and some policemen went to the police station. A few remained at the house, keeping watch. When I entered the neighborhood, I didn’t notice the policemen. I saw a pet store and ran over to it. I opened the door and a man greeted me.
“Do you need anything today miss?” the man asked. He was tall with light brown hair, a freckled face, and brown eyes.
“I need a leash, biggest collar you have, and a large dog comb,” I said.
“Will do!” the man said. “By the way, the name’s Pete.”
“Hi Pete, I’m Sarah,” I said. Pete smiled. He went behind the counter and into the back room. I stood there waiting. After a few minutes, Pete returned with the supplies.
“That will be $45 please,” Pete said.
“The things I do for excitement,” I thought. I reached in my purple purse and gave him the money then thanked him. I headed out the door and ran back to the forest.

Chapter 7:

Finally Jackson and I were done with Jake. Jake had his collar and leash on and his fur was brushed.
“I can’t believe I am doing this,” Jake growled.
“You don’t look that bad,” Jackson giggled. Jake stared at Jackson.
“Remember, no fooling around?” Jake said. I picked up one end of the leash and we went back into town. As we walked onto the sidewalk, many people stared at our ‘dog’. Jake sometimes growled back at the people. We saw the exercise store and a sign that said: NO DOGS.
“I have to come in so I can see what we need,” Jake said. then I thought of a plan.
“Guide dogs are probably aloud in there right? I said.
“Probably, yeah” Jackson said.
“Well, if I put on my sunglasses and I pretend that Jake is leading me around, maybe he can come,” I said.
“Good plan,” Jackson said. I reached into my purse and pulled out my dark shaded sunglasses then put them on. The three of us went into the store to get the supplies. A man approached us as we walked in and said,
“Excuse me miss, but no dogs are aloud here.”
“This is her guide dog, she is blind,” Jackson said.
“Oh, ok,” the man said and went over to the work counter. “If you need anything let me know.”
“Ok, we need some weights,” Jake said. We headed over to the weight section. “We need that size.” I picked the size weights Jake was pointing to with one of his paws. “Ok, I think that’s all we need.” We went over to the check-out counter to buy the weights.
“$10 please,” the man said. I handed him my credit card and the man handed me a bag containing the weights. Jackson, Jake, and I went out of the exercise store. We went back to the forest for Jackson to start training.

Chapter 8:

Soon the sun was setting and the moon was rising and it happened. A swirl of wind spun around Jackson and he turned into a werewolf. Jackson howled and looked at me and Jake. Jake stood up on two feet and exaimed Jackson.
“You’re puny, you need a lot of work,” Jake said. Jackson quietly growled at Jake. “Take these weights and started lifting.” Jake threw the weights to Jackson as if the weights were feathers. Jackson weakly lifted them. “One, Two, Three,” Jake counted as Jackson slowly lifted the weights. My stomach grumbled. Jake and Jackson looked at me. “I think it’s time to teach Jackson to hunt like a real werewolf,” Jake said. Jackson sighed in relief of taking a break from lifting the weights. Jake got on his four paws, so did Jackson. I went over to mine and Jackson’s backpacks and grabbed an apple and water bottle from my backpack. As the two werewolves crept through the forest, I ate my apple and sipped at my water bottle. Jake stopped abruptly. Jackson did too. I stopped watching the two. Jake sniffed the air, so did Jackson. “Ok kid, there’s a female deer. Put your whole body low to the ground. Get ready to run and pounce. Creep up slowly, not making a sound.” Jake whispered. Jake did all those steps. He crept up slowly, not making a sound. The female deer just ate some berries off a bush. “Now pounce!” Jake whispered. Jackson pounced. He landed on the female deer, his claws sinking into the deer’s flesh. The female deer took its last breath and Jackson howled with victory.
“How was that?” Jackson asked breathing heavily.
“Good,” Jacke said. “Next time maybe we’ll find a Buck. I went over to the two werewolves and watched them eat the dead female deer.
“Oh, do you want some?” Jackson said.
“Uh, no thanks,” I said looking at the torn up deer.
“Ok, now let’s go up on that hill, it’s time to howl at the moon.” Jake said pointing at a tall hill. Jackson agreed. They started to run and I ran, following them. After a few minutes we reached the top of the hill.
“Ok, take a big breath and howl!” Jake said. Jake began to howl, so did Jackson. As they howled. I sat at the edge of the hill on the opposite side of Jake and Jackson, overlooking our neighborhood.i looked at my house. I thought I saw tiny police cars and small little figures of policemen. Many questions were flowing through my mind. Was this the excitement I was waiting for? Were my parents worried about me? Would Jackson be able to win the battle? I had no answers to these questions. L listened to the howling of werewolves as I thought. As I worried. As I questioned. I looked at the two werewolves, both howling. I looked at the moon. It was a full moon.

Chapter 9:

When Jackson and Jake were done howling, we headed back to where mine and Jackson’s backpacks were. I went to sleep, in my sleeping bag on the forest floor and Jackson and Jake went back into the deep, dark forest. My eyes wearily and sleepily drooped, then closed. I fell asleep. Jackson and Jake went back up onto the hill and sat on four paws tails wagging, looking at the full moon.
“You got some talent kid,” Jake said, turning his head at Jackson.
“Thanks, but do I have what it takes to defeat King Sinister?” Jackson said.
“I… I don’t know,” Jake said, his head facing down. Jake sighed. Jackson saw Jake’s face, sad and worried. Jackson knew he had to defeat King Sinister. He just had to. The two just sat on the hill, looking at the moon until the sun was peeking out from atop the trees when Jackson turned back to a normal boy. I woke up seeing Jackson next to me in his sleeping bag and Jake curled up on the forest floor. A slight breeze filled the air, Birds were chirping, the trees were waving in the breeze. The sun was halfway peeking up from the forest trees. I shook Jackson saying,
“Jackson, Jackson! Wake up!”
“Huh?” Jackson yawned.
“Time to get up sleepy head,” I said.
“Should we wake up Jake?” Jackson asked.
“I don’t think we should,” I said looking at Jake.
“Yeah,” Jackson agreed. I went over to my backpack and got a granola bar.
“Are you hungery?” I asked.
“No,” Jackson answered.

“Are you hungry?” I asked.
“No, I’m still full on that deer,” Jackson answered. “You know that you’re my best friend Sarah.” I smiled.
“You’re mine too,” I said. I looked at Jackson. I worried about if Jackson would defeat King Sinister. I wasn’t just afraid if he would win but if he would stay alive.

Chapter 10: a walk through the forest.

Later that day Jake, Jackson, and I went for a walk in the forest.
“Keep watch 24/7 never stopping except when you sleep,” Jake told Jackson. Jackson looked left and right then looked in front of him and behind him. Jake looked at him. “I just mean let nothing pop up and take you by surprise.” Jake said.
“Oh, ok” Jackson said. I was looking at the tall trees and the river we were walking alongside. The sun was gleaming through the trees and I smelt pine in the air. The birds were singing joyfully.
“Tonight I’ll teach you how to catch fish.” Jake said to Jackson.
“Oh ok,” Jackson mumbled.
“You need to start speaking up! Like when we howled. Werewolves do not mumble, they howl!” Jake said. I giggled. Jackson did too. Jake looked at us with annoyance then looked away. That night Jackson turned back into a werewolf as the night before and we started to walk back to the river, Jackson on four paws, Jake also on four paws and me on my two feet. Jake stopped abruptly. Jackson and I looked at Jake. Jake started to sniff the air. His ears went left and right, listening.
“What’s wrong?” Jackson asked.
“Jackson, come over here. Sarah, hide behind those bushes over by that tree,” Jake said, one of his paws pointing to some bushes by a large tree. I did as he said. Jackson went over to Jake. “Sniff the air and listen closely,” Jake whispered. Jackson smelt the air and listened closely.
“I hear faint howling and I smell wolves,” Jackson said.
”Probably not wolves but…. Werewolves,” Jake said quietly. I saw horrible thoughts flashing through my mind. Jackson tries to fight the Werewolves but fails, ending with his last breath.

Chapter 11: truly a surprise encounter.

“Kid, I think this might be your first real fighting test,” Jake said to Jackson. Jackson gulped.
“Am I ready though,” Jackson whispered.
“Yes, I think you are,” Jake said. All of a sudden a Werewolf popped out behind a bush quietly and was sneaking up from behind Jake and Jackson. Jake and Jackson didn’t notice the werewolf.
“Jackson and Jake! There’s a Werewolf behind you!” I yelled. Jake and Jackson quickly turned around and the Werewolf looked at me. Then he ran toward me. Jackson saw this and ran as fast and he could on four paws.
“Ahhhhhhhh!” I screamed. The Werewolf was almost to me when Jackson pounced onto the Werewolf, bring the two on them to the ground. I was breathing heavily. Watching as the two Werewolves tossed and turned, clawing each other Jake just watched. Jackson put one of his paws with massive claws into the Werewolf’s chest, causing him to take his last breath. I smiled. Jake also faintly smiled. Jackson looked up at me smiling but also breathing heavily.
“I’m proud of you kid,” Jake said coming over to Jackson and I.
“Thanks, you’re a pretty good teacher yourself,” Jackson said.
“You saved my life Jackson,” I said.
“No problem,” Jackson said.
“Ok you two, let’s head back and let Sarah go to sleep. Jake said. Just then five large Werewolves popped out from every side of us.
“Jackson! Time to attack!” Jake yelled. “Sarah, run!”
“I can’t!” I said.
Jake pounced at one of the Werewolves, so did Jackson. I just stood there. Some of the Werewolves stared hungrily at me. One started to run toward me. I was speechless. Jackson popped up in front of the Werewolf and jumped onto him, stabbing him with his massive claws. The werewolf fell to the ground and died. Jake and Jackson continued to fight. Soon all of the werewolves were killed. Jake and Jackson painted heavily.
“I… think… it’s time to take a rest,” Jake painted. Jackson and I nodded in agreement. We went back to where mine and Jackson’s backpacks and sleeping bags were and went to sleep.

yeah, this is a VERY long book

Chapter 12: fishing

The next morning I woke up and Jackson and Jake were gone. I got up and started to walk around the forest, looking for Jackson and Jake. Finally I found them by the river. Jake was catching fish while Jackson watched. Jackson was normal again and couldn’t catch fish like Jake could until tonight. Jake caught a fish after only a few minutes and ate it up. Jackson and I had each gotten an apple, water bottle, and granola bar for breakfast. After breakfast, we walked through the forest. We didn’t do much that day, only until night at least. Jackson turned back into a werewolf as the moon rose and the stars started to shine. Jake took Jackson out to the river to practice fishing.
“Ok, just stand still with one paw ready to strike, when you see a fish pass by, just strike it with your paw, and grab it with your mouth,” Jake said. Jackson went into the small river and got ready. I watched eagerly. Jackson saw a fish passing by him. Jackson stroke his paw at the fish, it flung into the air, and Jackson caught it into his mouth. Jake slightly smiled. Jackson gobbled up the fish.
“Ok, now let’s go and hunt,” Jake said. Jackson, Jake, and I walked through the forest until Jake and Jackson stopped. I looked in front of us and saw in the close distance a Buck. “This will be a bigger test the Doe,” Jake whispered to Jackson. As Jake instructed Jackson, I looked at Jackson. Jackson was looked bigger, stronger, and more confident. I saw that he would be ready for the fight soon. After a few minutes, Jackson was successful in killing the Buck. Soon I went to bed in my sleeping bag but Jake and Jackson stayed awake and remained in the forest.

Chapter 13: Jake’s dark secret.

The next morning Jake secretly went into the forest when Jackson and I were sleeping. Jake went to were two pine trees sat, with a space in the middle. Jake put his paw into the empty space and the paw was scanned by an invisible scanner. Jake took a step back. A fuzzy picture appeared. Then it cleared. There sat the face of King Sinister. He had a red crown with jewels on it. A red silk cape with fuzzy, jeweled white lining and he looked very strong and huge.
“Ah yes, Jake. Have you made any progress with him?” King Sinister said in an evil voice.
“Yes, very much. Not enough to defeat you of course,” Jake said, his head drooping.
“What’s the matter?” King Sinister said.
“Oh nothing,” Jake said. King Sinister looked at Jake in a suspicious way.
“Remember, if you want to stay alive I suggest you obey me and of course I remember our deal Jake,” King Sinister said. “You get this last Werewolf for my army and I’ll free you.” Jake sighed then looked up.
“Yes, it is,” Jake said. “I will bring you another update tomorrow morning.” King Sinister smiled then the picture fuzzed up and disappeared. Jake sighed and looked down but then looked up, tall and proud. He went back to Jackson and I.

Chapter 14:

That day Jake seemed different. He seemed sad and gloomy. Not to mention grumpy.
“Are you alright?” Jackson asked as we walked through the forest together.
“Oh, yeah, I’m fine,” Jake said gloomily.
“Are you sure?” I said worried.
“I said yeah didn’t i?” Jake said angerly. I looked at Jackson, and he looked back at me. We were both worried about Jake.
“I’ll try to talk to him tonight,” Jackson whispered to me. I nodded. That night Jackson and Jake went up to the hill to howl and I went to mine and Jackson’s sleeping bags. I got into my sleeping bag but didn’t go to sleep. I wanted to see if Jake was hiding something Or possibly doing something when Jackson and I were asleep.
“So what’s been going on?” Jackson asked Jake on the hill.
“Nothing! Don’t ask again!” Jake growled. Jackson didn’t ask again but just howled at the moon with Jake. When the two Werewolves got back, I pretended I was asleep until they were both sleeping. Soon the sun was rising and I was still awake, struggling to keep my eyes open. Then I heard Jake getting up from the ground. I closed my eyes, trying to seem as if though I was really asleep. I squinted my eyes so I could see where Jake was going. Once he was out of sight I got up and followed Jake footprints until I came to two pine trees with an empty space in the middle. Jake was sitting there, talking to King Sinister. I quietly gasped. I listened while Jake and King Sinister talked.
“Anymore progress?” King Sinister asked.
“Not much today, but I will work much more tomorrow,” Jake said.
“Does he have any talent? Or just like the others?” King Sinister asked.
“No, just like the others,” Jake said, his head drooping.
“Come back here for another report,” King Sinister said. King Sinister’s face faded away and Jake turned around and almost saw me but I ducked behind a bush. I couldn’t believe it, Jake had betrayed Jackson and I. I had to go tell Jackson that day.

Chapter 15:

I got back to Jackson and Jake was there.
“Jackson! Jake…… Jake… betrayed us! He is working with King Sinister!” I yelled. Jake stared at me, embarrassed and furious.
“He does?” Jackson said, his face turning pale.
“Yes! He does!” I said.
“Is this true?” Jackson asked.
“Who are you going to believe Jackson, me, or her? Jake asked Jackson.
“You did betray us, you liar!” Jackson yelled. “I can fight King Sinister without you!” a tear ran down Jackson’s face.
“No, you can’t! You’ll be killed!” Jake yelled.
“Now why should I believe you?” Jackson yelled. “Come on Sarah, let’s go!” I looked at Jake with his head drooped. It looked like Jake didn’t want to do what he was doing when he was talking to King Sinister but I didn’t think about it too much at that moment. I grabbed mine and Jackson’s backpacks and sleeping bags then Jackson and I walked away, out of sight from Jake. Jackson and I found a clear spot for our sleeping bags and backpacks. We set up ‘camp’ as we called it and soon the sun was setting. Jackson turned into a Werewolf and I went with him, watched him hunt, fish, howl, use his weights, and run. I went to sleep wondering why Jake was working for King Sinister. In the morning Jackson told me that he was going to find King Sinister that night.

Chapter 16:

Meanwhile, Jake had talked to King Sinister and King Sinister was angry.
“The girl found out?” King Sinister said.
“Yes, she did last night when we were talking. The two are gone now and I expect Jackson will try to find you soon,” Jake said.
“Oh, then let him, guide him to me, the sooner he loses the sooner he will become another one of my soldiers. The last one I need to take back my kingdom,” King Sinister said, smiling mischievously. Jake sighed. Truly Jake had always dreamed of teaching a Werewolf to defeat King Sinister but all of his students were failuers. The last one was a disaster. King Sinister had raised the stakes, if the student lost, Jake would be held captive. The student did lose but King Sinister told Jake either he would work for him or would shock him to death with a super shock collar. Jake gave in, but was a prisioner. King Sinister put the super shock collar on Jake and was sent to find Werewolves for soldiers. Jake had found many Werewolves and had led them to King Sinister for the fight. All of the Werewolves had lost and become soldiers. Jake saw something special in Jackson but wouldn’t tell him.
“Go leave clues that will lead Jackson to me,” King Sinister ordered.
“Yes, sir,” Jake said. King Sinister’s face disappeared and Jake walked away on his four paws. Jackson and I were walking through the forest and it was around noon. Jackson mumbled to himself a lot that day, things that I couldn’t completely understand but from what I heard, he was talking about Jake. The whole day we walked around and around. I think we went in circles because I thought I saw the same trees and rocks again and again. Jackson just walked and mumbled, and walked and mumbled some more. I looked at the sunset later that day. Jackson and I went back to camp and I gather our things. I was worried. Jackson and I were going to go search for King Sinister. What if we couldn’t ever find him? What if we do and Jackson loses or even dies? I couldn’t bear the thoughts about Jackson dying. It made my heart sink and it made my heart heavy like a rock. Jackson soon turned into a Werewolf and we set off. After only about 30 minutes we found Werewolf tracks. They were bigger paw prints than wolves so Jackson and I assumed that they were Werewolf tracks. Really Jake had left them for us to follow. They went on and on until we came to an empty circle. Pine trees surrounded it.
“Stay here,” Jackson warned. I did as Jackson walked to the middle of the circle. The tracks ended in the middle of the circle. Jackson smelt the tracks and smelled Jake.
“I see that my company is here,” King Sinister said, walked out from behind some pine trees. Jackson turned around. Following King Sinister was Jake.

Chapter 17:

Jake’s head hung low. I looked at him, he looked sad, worried, scared, and mad.
“King Sinister! Ready to fight or what?” Jackson growled. Some other Werewolves walked out from the pine trees.
“Yes, I am very ready,” King Sinister said.
“Kid, I…,” Jake said sadly.” “I didn’t want…” King Sinister growled at Jake then pulled out a button from behind inside his cape. The button would activate the super shock collar.
“What is that?” Jackson said.
“It’s the button to activate the super shock collar that your friend Jake is wearing,” King Sinister said. “He is my prisoner and has helped me very much. One of his other puny students failed to fight me and I said if I won Jake was mine and now he is. Jake has to obey me or I’ll shock him with this super shock collar button and he will DIE,” I gasped. “If you lose you have to be my soldier and help me fight to take back my kingdom. If you win, which you won’t, you will be turned back to normal,” King Sinister said.
“Never will I work for you!” Jackson said.
“Oh I believe you will,” King Sinister said with a grin. “If you don’t you can kiss your girlfriend and werewolf friend good bye!”
Jackson turned around and saw me struggling to break free from two huge Werewolves. Then Jackson looked at King Sinister. King Sinister had the button in his hand, ready to push. Jackson looked at poor Jake, he looked so sad.
“Fine, but first we fight,” Jackson said, his voice sounding stronger.
“Alright then, let us fight!” King Sinister said.
“Fight, fight, fight!” the other Werewolves shouted together. King Sinister howled and then looked at Jackson. Jackson howled then looked at King Sinister. Jake was with me, watching. Jackson and King Sinister walked in a circle. Jackson and King Sinister stared at one another as they circled. King Sinister ran and pounced onto Jackson, bringing both of them to the ground. King Sinister was on top of Jackson, breathing heavily. Jackson popped up, making King Sinister get off of Jackson and Jackson pounced onto him. Jackson’s claws stabbed into King Sinister’s arms but wasn’t enough to kill him. I just stared. Amazed and scared. Jake just watched with no emotion or expession.
“Ha! Is that the best you can do?” King Sinister said. King Sinister got up quickly and stood up on two legs. Jackson did too. The two Werewolves clawed each other again and again. Then King Sinister jumped onto Jackson, stabbing Jackson in the stomach. Jackson was breathing softly. Jackson looked across from him and saw me, tears running down my face. King Sinister grinned. Jackson looked at King Sinister with a furious expression and pushed King Sinister into the air and then pounced onto him, stabbing King Sinister’s chest. King Sinister tried to get up when Jackson got off of him but Jackson pounced again, stabbing King Sinister in the heart. King Sinister breathed softly and whispered to Jackson,
“Did you really think I could turn you back to normal?” Jackson’s face froze. Then Jackson looked at King Sinister and he wasn’t breathing. Jackson had killed King Sinister but wouldn’t turn back to normal.

Chapter 18:

I looked at Jackson and smiled. Jake smiled the biggest smile he had ever smiled. Jackson took the button for the shock collar out of King Sinister’s cape and clicked the release button. The super shock collar quickly fell off Jake and Jackson looked at Jake and I. the two huge Werewolves let me go. Jackson was frowning. I didn’t know why he was sad until he came over and told me.
“It was all a lie Sarah. I’m not going to be turned back to normal”
“What? Why?” I asked worriedly.
“King Sinister told me,” Jackson said sadly.
“Kid, I’m so sorry. You are my best student, you know that?” Jake said. Jackson hugged Jake and Jake hugged him back. I looked at Jackson. I grabbed his Face and put his harry lips to mine. After a few seconds I let him go. Jackson was frozen. Jake giggled. Then all of a sudden Jackson looked at his hands and saw… human hands. Then he looked at his legs and feet, they were human too. Then Jackson looked at his tail and it was disappearing. Finally Jackson’s face turned back to normal and the moon was still high in the sky. All of Jackson’s human features came back. His was normal again. Jackson looked at me and smiled. Jackson grabbed my face and kissed me for what seemed like a long time. He let go of me and I looked at Jake.
“You did a good job kid,” Jake said.
“Who’s going to be our king?” One Werewolf shouted.
“Yeah, who will be?” Shouted another.
“Jake will!” Jackson said.
“Me?” Jake said. Two Werewolves went over to King Sinister’s dead body and grabbed his crown and cape. Then they put them on Jake.
“Yes, you,” Jackson said.
“Then…. I will!” Jake shouted. Then other Werewolves cheered and clapped. “This shall be my new home!” Jackson and I looked at each other. We both thought, home.

Chapter 19: home sweet home.

Jackson said good bye to Jake and left for home. We both had forgot our backpacks and sleeping bags but we didn’t care. We ran through the forest until we came to an opening to our neighborhood. The sun was rising and the birds were singing. We both ran to my parents house first.
“Oh! Sarah! Jackson! Where have you two been?” My mom said as we entered my house. tears ran down my mom’s face. My dad jumped up from the sofa and ran over to hug me and Jake. My mom and dad both hugged us for a moment or two.
“We went on a camping trip,” I said. Jackson nodded. My parents releases us from the hug and Jackson told us he had to go home.
“Wait, let me tell you something outside,” I said. I went out of my house and told Jackson, “About that kiss before, do you really love me?”
“Yes I do, who wouldn’t?” Jackson said. I smiled. I waved goodbye to Jackson and went up to my room. I plopped onto my bed and thought,
“I had my excitement I have always wanted. I didn’t need the Werewolves or fights, I just needed Jackson.”

chapter 1
The move………

It was a gloomy day in London, England. My father had died fighting the Americans in the American Revolution. My mother had died from heart cancer when I was young. I was going to leave with my sixteen year old sister, Anne, to go to my Aunt Diana’s house. Anne, Aunt Diana and I were at the funeral under our umbrellas’ while the rain poured.
“And now to conclude this speech, James Hook was a wonderful man and shall now rest in peace with God,” the pastor said drearily. “Now let’s bow our heads and pray.” So we did. Everything was quiet but the raindrops dropping on our umbrellas’. Then altogether we said,
“Amen.”
“Come on Jane and Anne,” said Aunt Diana walking over to her horse-drawn wagon.
“Alright,” we said mournfully together. We headed over to Aunt Diana’s horse-drawn wagon. On the way to Aunt Diana’s home I was completely silent.
“I need to go to battle Jane, your sister, Anne, will take care of you,” I remembered my dad saying to me at the parting of the ship to America.
“How long?” I had asked him.
“Just until I return from battle.” My father answered. “If I die though I did it for my country and you will have to go live with Aunt Diana. You may not remember her but she will take care of you.”
“Father! I will miss you!” Anne said wiping a tear from her eye. The ship blew its horn meaning it was time for my father to climb aboard the ship. He got on turning back to smile and said, “I love you! Bye!” he turned back and got onto the ship. The ship started off.
“We love you!” bye! Anne and I said together bursting into tears.
“Jane! Jane! We’re here!” said Aunt Diana awaking me from my daydream. “Jane, you must learn never to daydream in public!” scolded Aunt Diana. Anne and I took our suitcases and stared at the mansion. With a gulp, we walked inside.

Chapter 2:

The forbidden door………

As we entered into the house, a butler took our bags.
“Now ladies, you can go into every room except that room upstairs,” Aunt Diana said pointing to a door at the end of a small staircase. “It is forbidden and should never under any circumstances be entered.” “Head to your rooms on the left up that staircase.” Anne looked at me and I looked back at her. We both then turned our heads to look at the big long staircase. We started heading up the stairs and turned left then saw a room. We went over and I opened the door.
“What do you think is in the forbidden door?” I asked.
“I don’t know but I don’t want to find out,” answered Anne. We unpacked our belongings and a butler called, “Dinner is ready!” then we headed down stairs. All through dinner I kept thinking about that forbidden door. As I was thinking I was not eating so Aunt Diana spoke up and said, “Jane, you haven’t touched a thing on your plate! Eat your food please.”
“I’m sorry,” I said with a sigh. After dinner Anne and I went exploring and found many rooms. After that it was time for bed. When Anne was fast asleep in the dark bedroom, I grabbed my flashlight and snuck out of the room. I crept down the staircase. I saw the short staircase leading into the forbidden door. I walked up the staircase and started to turn the knob but then heard a butler calling, “Who’s there? Show yourself!” hearing this, I ran as fast and quietly as I could down the small staircase, up the other huge staircase, then ran into my room. I hopped into bed without waking Anne and decided to wait to look into the forbidden door. I woke up to see Anne shaking me saying, “Get up Jane! It’s time for breakfast!”
“Alright, alright” I said yawning. “I’ll get up.” Anne and I headed downstairs and ate a big breakfast. After breakfast Anne and I got dressed. The rest of the day we continued to explore but as we were walking down a hallway I asked Anne, “do you not wonder what is in that room?”
“No, and you shouldn’t be either father wouldn’t want us to get into trouble,” answered Anne.
“Don’t talk about father,” I said stopping abruptly. I turned around and ran back to our bedroom. I couldn’t stand to hear about father. I missed him so much that I jumped onto my bed and burst into tears. Anne came running into the room to comfort me. When I had calmed down Ann and I continued to explore until dinner. We ate and went outside in the front yard. We sat under an oak tree talking the rest of the afternoon. Soon it was time for supper. We ate and quickly got ready for bed. We got into our beds and Anne went to sleep while I lay waiting for hours to go to the forbidden door. Soon I grabbed my flashlight and snuck again to the small staircase where the forbidden door lay at the top. I turned the knob and pushed the door open………….

Chapter 3:

An unforgettable night….

There stood an attic full of cobwebs and white cloth covered furniture. I stared what seemed like hours at the attic. I took a step, paused, and then I took another step. Soon I was in the middle of the attic. I thought, “Why wouldn’t Aunt Diana want anyone to come in this attic?” then I heard a loud cry. Then another cry. Then a cold chill ran up my spine. I stared into space. Then I ran as fast as I could to the door and slammed it. Next I ran to Anne and Is room and jumped into bed. Then Anne awoke before I could fall back asleep and asked, “What were you doing Jane? You weren’t sneaking into that room were you?”
“Well…….” I answered.
“Jane! Don’t go into that room again!” Anne scolded.
“Alright I promise I won’t again,” I said crossing my fingers behind my back. Anne and I went back to sleep but I was going into the room again the next night to see why it is called the forbidden door……. the following day went as same as the first. Breakfast, exploring, dinner, talking under the old oak tree, supper, and bed. I was not happy. Though it might have seemed like it, I wasn’t. I missed father and our old home but I might as well try to find something I enjoyed at Aunt Diana’s house right? Well I snuck out again and soon I was turning the knob to the forbidden door. I went inside. I started to hear cries. I almost ran out but the door slammed shut. I was frightened. Then-just as the night before-a chill went up my spine. Then I saw a white sheet move a little. Then a little more. I was so frightened I almost screamed but dare not to because I didn’t want to wake up anybody. I heard another cry. I trembled and whispered, “Who….. Who is… there? Show… show yourself!”
“Goooo away! Leave this placee! Never return…. Never return!” a voice cried from under the sheet.
My lungs were about to explode from not screaming at all from this situation. I just stared at the sheet as it waved a little. I couldn’t speak. I was mouthing words but not speaking. Finally I could speak and I said, “Why can’t I stay….. And you haven’t answered my question, who... Are you?
“I am the ghost of the mansion! Now… leave!” the voice answered.

“Well I might leave if you show yourself…..” I dared myself to say.
“Hmm…….. I am ugly… I won’t show myself! Said the voice. “Fine…”

The ghost lifted up his body and I stared. He was not just a sheet but a boy……. A white, pale boy. He floated in the air. He had freckles all over his face. And white messy hair. He was wearing fancy pajamas that of course, were white too. For the first time he looked at me with his face. He saw my dark brown hair hanging from my head. He saw my freckles on my nose. He just stared as I stared back at him. We connected it seemed. Like we had known each other for years as best friends. I looked at my watch and saw it was 8:00 a.m.
“I have to go! I’m sorry but I’ll come back! Good bye…” I said to the ghost. So I left but I was coming back that very night........

Chapter 4:
Some things are found out….

“I heard some noises late last night. Some cries. Were either of you having a bad dream? Or was there something else wrong? Aunt Diana asked Anne and me.
“Not that I know of, Jane?” Anne said.
“Well………” I thought for a moment. “No, no nothing was wrong.” I knew that I had lied. I wasn’t proud of it but if I had said what had happened last night, I would be in big trouble.
“Ok…..” answered Aunt Diana. I could tell that she noticed how awkward I was to answering that question and Aunt Diana was suspicious about me. Anne also glanced at me noticing my awkwardness and trembling of answering that question. Finally it was night again. I snuck into the attic again.
“Boo!” said the ghost who popped up from behind me.
“Boo! I have a few questions for you,” I said.
“Like what?” the ghost asked.
“First of all, what’s your name?” I asked in curiosity.
“James, James Laurence hat,” he answered with pride. I stared at him bewildered that he had the same first name as my father. I shook my head, breaking out of the stare.
“Nice name…. my name is Jane,” I said. How did you become a ghost?
“A murder….. A cruel man! James said in anger. He just wanted MY money, MY house! He wanted it so much that he killed me for it! One of my own butlers! When I was asleep…. He snuck up on me… I woke before he stabbed the sword into my heart… but when I sat up quickly, the sword went into my heart…… Now, whoever owns this house…. inherited from him! In fact I haunted the man who killed me for years until he died from the swine flu…… I have lived up here ever since…. But wait… do you own this house?”
“No, my aunt does,” I answered.
“So you are inherited to the murderer! James said in rage and anger.
“Maybe but I didn’t kill you!” I answered back angrily.
“So what…. Leave! I can never trust anyone…. Again! He said threat fully to me.
“Fine!” I answered back, tears running down both of my cheeks. I ran to the door, opened it, slammed it, then ran to the bedroom and quietly cried myself to sleep…..

Chapter 5:

Back upstairs…….

Meanwhile, upstairs in the attic, James was hiding in corner thinking about last night.
“Should I have gone off on her like that? I mean, she wasn’t the one who turned me into a ghost right? No, no don’t fall for her…. I can’t trust anyone….. Besides, she doesn’t want to be friends with a ghost right?” thought James. “I’m a ghost; she’s a real person… I shouldn’t have anything to do with her!” he continued to hide in a corner in the attic. Downstairs, Anne and I were eating breakfast with Aunt Diana.
“I’m so mad! He is a ghost! Why should I be friends with HIM! He was the only friend I had… No we had just met! How were WE friends?” I thought to myself as I plopped a piece of omelet into my mouth.
“Have a nice sleep last night you two?” asked Aunt Diana.
“Yes I did, Jane?” Anne answered then looked at me.
“Yes…… but Aunt Diana, did you inhere it this house or did you buy it?” I asked.
“I bought it.” Aunt Diana answered looking suspiciously at me.
“Maybe I should pay James another visit,” I thought. So that I grabbed my flashlight and snuck down the large staircase. Then I heard a voice coming from the kitchen. I walked down the hall, following the noise; I peered from the side of the open door of the kitchen. I saw Aunt Diana and a butler talking.
“That child has been up their! She acted puzzled when I asked her how her night was as if there really was something wrong but she was lieing! Also for some strange reason, Jane asked me if I had inherited this house? What kind of question is that! Besides I want to turn that girl into a proper lady! Do proper ladies go see ghosts? Aunt Diana said to the butler.
“You might be right. We must dispose of that ghost.” The butler said. “But how can we?”
“Well, I just might have a way…….. Let’s gather up some strong men to do the job. They could capture that ghost…” Aunt Diana said to the butler. When the two turned around and walked off into another room, I ran as quietly and as fast as I could upstairs to the attic…….

Chapter 6:
The plan…….

I slammed the door open quickly and quietly.
“James! I…. I have terrible news!” I said panting.
“What are you doing here! Leave now!” James said turning from the corner to look at me.
“But my Aunt is going to capture you!” I said not moving one step from where I was. James turned around and floated over to me.
“Capture ME? Ha oh I’m so scared of your AUNT! She can’t capture me,” James said with a chuckle.
“Maybe not her, but what about big strong men?” I said seriously.
“Hmm… that could possibly be a problem,” James said realizing how serious this is. “Maybe I’ll be your friend again……. only if you help me!”
“Fine but just telling you, my Aunt didn’t inheret this home, she bought it,” I said.
“Oh, well good. Let’s get to work!” said James.
“I’m just curious, why can’t you just move to another home? Why do you have to stay here?” I asked.
“If I did go out of this home I would return to a normal boy but I would die,” James answered. I thought that was very strange but didn’t ask any more questions about his ghost life. Instead we continued to discuss a plan. When we were done, this was the plan:

1. Release the net over the men when they entered in. James would be above to release the net.
2. If they got out, I would release the marbles therefore, making it hard to walk as James went out the door, and hide in Anne and I’s closet. Hopefully they wouldn’t find him.

It didn’t seem much of a plan but it was the best we had come up with. I looked at my watch, seeing it was late, I grabbed my candle on the box beside us.
“Sorry I have to go, I’ll see you again tonight. I’ll try to find out when Aunt Diana will send out the men somehow,” I said heading out of the room.

Chapter 7:

Anne comes along….

When I got downstairs, I crept back upstairs to the bedroom but when I arrived, Anne was sitting on her bed, staring at me.
“Jane, where have you been? Anne asked me.
“I…. I…. I was exploring,” I said trying to answer the question.
“Exploring at night?” Anne said suspiciously.
“Yeah, I couldn’t fall asleep, I was bored,” I said nervously. I saw that Anne was suspicious so I changed the subject.
“Umm, let’s go eat breakfast!” I said quickly. Before Anne could ask any more questions, I ran out of the room. Anne just followed. When it was night again I snuck down the long staircase. Little did I know but Anne was following me down the staircase and into the attic. Anne hid behind a box until she saw the ghost approaching me. Just as I was about to say something to James, Anne popped out from behind the box and rushed in front of me.
“Stay back you…. You ghost! Anne yelled at James.
“Anne! He is my friend! Leave him alone!” I yelled at Anne.
“friend? He couldn’t be your FRIEND!” Anne said staring at me in bewielderment.
“Well he is. Either except that or go!” I yelled at Anne. James just stared at the two of us.
“Why are you here?” Anne asked, her voice calming down.
“I’m helping James not get captured or even killed,” I said my voice also calming down.
“Killed? How can a ghost die? And James? Is that his name?” Anne asked.
“Yes that is my name. If I step a foot out of this house I die. Perish. Disappear,” James said to Anne.
“Oh, well…. How can I help? Anne said, smiling at me.
“You could keep this a secret from Aunt Diana. She is the one who wants to kill James,” I said.
“Really? Well she won’t get away with it! Anne said. “I won’t tell Aunt Diana.”
“Great. Now here’s the plan,” I said laying the plan out. James and I explained the plan and how she could help. Soon it was morning and Anne and I left the attic. At breakfast Aunt Diana asked, “I heard some yelling last night, was something wrong?” Aunt Diana asked. Anne looked at me. She didn’t want to lie. I answered quickly,
“No nothing was wrong. We were completely fine,” I said taking another bite of egg. Anne looked at me surprised that I had lied. I just continued to eat. Anne and I sat that afternoon under the oak tree and Anne asked,
“Why did you lie? You could have just told her the truth”
“Tell her the truth! She is trying to kill James! Who knows if I had told her what would have happened! I said sitting up abruptly. “Sure I lied, I don’t like that I did, but it was tell the truth or risk a life!”
“Ok, ok,” Anne said. That night Anne and I walked down the staircase but on our way we found out something….

Chapter 8:

The time is revealed…..

On our way to the attic we heard Aunt Diana talking with the butler she had talked with the other night.
“We have to send them out tomorrow! That girl has been up there to long!” Aunt Diana said to the butler.
“I will. They are ready. What time?” the butler asked Aunt Diana.
“12:30 a.m. sharp,” Aunt Diana replied. Anne looked at me. She and I now knew what time the men were coming and now that we knew, we were afraid. Two questions were going through my mind,
“Would the plan work? What would we do if it does fail?” I had no answers once so ever. Anne and I crept back up to the attic to give James the news.
“12:30 a.m.? When should we set up the trap?” James asked as soon as we had told him the news.
“I think we could get it ready at 11:30 p.m. and be done by 12:30 a.m.,” I said. Anne and James agreed. The next day Anne and I discussed the plan again under the old oak tree. I was so afraid the plan wouldn’t work. What if it did but the men found James? Then what do we do? I had to take that off my mind. Soon it was 11:30 p.m. and it was time to get to work….

Chapter 9:

The plan is put to work….

“James! It’s time to get to work!” I said when Anne and I arrived in the attic. James frowned. Then he smiled a smile of hope.
“Ok, let’s make the trap!” James said. After almost an hour of work, we had finished the trap. James got in position with the net. I hid behind a short couch with the bag of marbles. We had added a new piece of the plan since Anne wanted to help. Anne had another bag of marbles to release also. She was positioned behind an arm chair across from me. Soon we could hear the front door slam open. We could hear voices faintly. We heard footsteps. The door creaked open as the three men entered the attic. James released the net on top of the men. The three of us stared. Seconds later, the men threw the net off of them and saw Anne and I. the stared running toward us. We released the marbles. James floated quickly out the door. Anne and I ran, dodging the men as they stumbled on the marbles. The men saw us running out the door and grabbed onto pieces of furniture to balance themselves. Then the three men slowly walked on the marbles, holding onto the furniture. Anne and I ran down the short staircase. When we reached the bottom, Aunt Diana stared and said, “Men! Where is that ghost! Get him!” Anne and I ran as fast as we could to the door but Aunt Diana grabbed Anne. Aunt Diana almost grabbed me but I escaped to the door. the men raced down the stairs and started to search the house. Anne watched the three men search as Aunt Diana held her arms tightly. Meanwhile, I was outside under the oak tree. Waiting for the men to leave. I was afraid James would be found and captured. I waited and waited. James was hiding in the closet. He knew his very life was at risk. He heard the men open Anne and I’s door. James just waited. A large man opened the closet and saw James. James was about to rush out of the closet until the large man threw the huge sack over him and picked him up. James knew there was nothing else he could do. He was going to die……..

Chapter 10:

Never give up….

As the man with James in the sack walked down the long staircase, Anne stared. Aunt Diana grinned, “Wonderful, now, dispose of him!”
“How?” The large man asked.
“I don’t know! Take him to the junkyard I guess,” Aunt Diana said, not knowing that when James exited the front door he would die.
“No! Jane!” Anne screamed. I heard Anne faintly scream my name. I knew what that meant…. James was captured. as the large man opened the door, the other two men following, I ran as fast as I could to them.
“No!” I screamed at the top of my voice. I was too late. The men just ignored me. They continued out the door. I saw a white dead boy float to the sky, perishing from sight. A tear ran down my cheek.
“Hey, this sack is heaver. Let’s check to see if the ghost is still in the bag,” The large man said, setting the sack on the ground to look inside. I ran over to look inside. I saw a dead boy laying inside the sack.
“I’ll miss you, James,” I said, another tear ran down my face. The tear dropped into the bag on James. James’s left hand moved a little. Then his right hand. The three men stared. I stared too. James blinked. I started to grin. Anne and Aunt Diana rushed outside when they saw us staring in the bag. Anne had been let free and came over first. Then Aunt Diana. James weakly started to sit up.
“Jane? Anne? Are we safe?” James asked, waking up.
“Hey! He’s alive! How is he not a ghost anymore?” One of the men asked. James looked at himself. Now he had dark brown hair, silky blue pajamas, and blue eyes.
“I’m…. I’m a boy again!” James said excitedly.
“How… how did this happen! Aunt Diana said, confused.
“My tear…. One of my tears dropped on him and I guess the tear of friendship brought him back to life,” I said. James stood up, hugging Anne and I. Then James looked at Aunt Diana.
“You….. Are you going to try to kill me again?” James said.
“No, I won’t,” Aunt Diana said. “I’m not going to keep three children though. Aunt Tracy will have to do that.”
“Aunt Tracy?” Anne said.
“Yes, she would be happy to keep three children,” Replied Aunt Diana.
“Oh James! Would you come?” I asked hopefully.
“I would love to,” James grinned.

ok, now for the main book for all you dog lovers and you nature lovers and well good books lovers,
K-9 ISLAND!!! (not completed) p.s. sorry if there isn't much right now but more will be added in time.

Chapter 1: Sara Clarice Adams

The wind was blowing a nice breeze, the sun was shining and no clouds were in the sky.
“Oh, there they are!” Sara exclaimed. The camera clicked as she took a picture. Sara Clarice Adams, an ocean photographer was out on an expedition to look for Orca Whales. Sara had gotten many pictures and was leaving to home to Tennessee the very next day. The wind was getting a little stronger and some clouds were appearing in the sky. Sara traveled in a small paddle boat on the sea.
“Looks like it might rain, maybe I should just head home today,” Sara sighed. Sara started paddling toward home, but more clouds appeared. It would take quite a few hours before Sara reached home. She had to first travel to Florida and then take a plane home. Sara normally worked in Orlando, FL but here real home was in Tennessee. An hour or two later, rain started to fall. Then, the wind picked up. Sara started to paddle faster and harder. Then Thunder started. Then finally lighting. The waves got higher and higher, the boat rocked and rocked around.
Sara tried her radio but couldn’t get a signal.
“Help! I’m in a storm!” Sara yelled into her radio. No one answered still. Sara looked above her and saw a huge wave coming down on the boat!

Chapter 2: the island

The wave came down on the boat, and on Sara, she got on the floor of the boat and held on, Sara passed out when the wave crashed the boat…

When Sara woke up, she was on her back laying in sand, above her she thought she saw something on a tall cliff but it quickly disappeared. Sara turned her head to see her boat on the shore of the beach, broken. Sara slowily got up and looked around, a nice breeze was in the air, beyond the beach, was strangely not a jungle but a forest. It had pine trees and everything.
“Where am I?” Sara said dreamily. “I have to get home! Hello? Is anybody here?” Nothing or no one answered. Sara walked toward the forest but then stopped. “do I still have my map?” Sara checked in her purse. Soggy camera, water, soggy food, a soggy map. Sara took out the map and looked at it. “Ok, if I’m here, what islands are around here? What, there ARE no islands around here!”

Chapter 3: where am I?

Sara stared at the map in bewilderment.
“I guess I might be here awhile so I might as well make camp,” Sara decided. So on the beach Sara made camp. She used palm leaves for the roof of her small “tent” and found large pieces of bark for supports. Little did Sara know that someone- wait, something, was watching her up on the cliff. That night Sara fell alsleep in her tent, but woke up to hear howling.
“Do I hear wolves, On this island?” Sara questioned. Sara fell back to sleep with an unanswered question.
“Ahh! Help! Someone! Anyone!” Sara ran through the forest, chased by wolves. The wolves barked and howled. Sara came to the cliff and turned around, to see wolves surrounding her, she took a step back, and fell off the cliff to her death.

Chapter 4: dreams…..

Sara woke up with a start, breathing heavily. That bad situation was just a dream.
“I have to find out what is in that forest,” Sara said. her stomach grumbled. But first I need to food. Sara found so coconuts in some palm trees and drank the milk from them then set off in the forest with her backpack.

Chapter 5: exploring

Sara set off into the forest. There were giant pine trees and forest flowers.
“This is the strangest island I’ve ever seen. A forest on an island?” Sara said. “Strange.” Sara look up and saw the cliff. Sara stared at it for a while, thinking. “shoukd I go up there?” Sara thought. “Maybe I should. I don’t know… yeah, I will.” Sara thought. Sara saw a path leading up to the cliff and went to it. She walked that path all day, until she reached the top, it was night, the moon was in the sky on a cloudless night. Sara saw shadows, on the top, and the area was circled with huge pine trees, she went over and peered through them, and gasped.
