Book One: Tom Understands

Chapter One

I was walking to Transfiguration with my friend, Luna Lovegood. My bag felt especially heavy today because I had put a diary in it. Why? Because the diary was special. The diary talked to me, the diary understood me, and the diary was like a friend that I could carry around in my pocket. I hadn't told anybody about the diary because I was afraid someone would get jealous and steal it. "Ginny, come on." Luna called. I realized that I was a few feet away from the classroom door. Luna held it open for me while I walked inside the room. "You're late, Weasley." Professor McGonagall said curtly. "Sorry, Professor." I murmured, and walked over to my desk.

Chapter Two

Dear Tom, I wrote in my diary. Potions class was terrible! Professor Snape kept calling on me and I didn't know any of the answers! Gryffindor lost 30 points because of me! Tom's reply was: I'm very sorry about what happened in Potions class. What could I possibly do to comfort you? I sighed and wrote: Could you__ help me "*get better * at Potions *? My hand was shaking, so large puddles of ink were appearing on the page. The letters faded away, and Tom's neat handwriting started to appear. Yes. I smiled. Thanks. I scribbled, and then I closed the diary.

Chapter Three

Potions class was getting more endurable, thanks to Tom. Snape had stopped picking on me, and now was bothering a small boy named Colin Creevey. I felt bad for him; he didn't know a lot about different potion ingredients and how a wrong one could change the whole brew. His dad was a Muggle. But nonetheless, I was starting to feel a lot better. Every night, I would spill all my secrets, worries, and fears to my diary friend, and (I don't know how he does it), Tom would comfort me every single time. Harry Potter, my brother's best friend, was still ignoring me, but Tom would always tell me that one day he would start to notice me. I usually believed him, but... Anyways, life at Hogwarts is getting a whole lot better.

Chapter Four

I think I'm either getting too tired these days, or I'm going crazy. Somebody had wrote: THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS HAS BEEN OPENED. MUGGLES AND MUDBLOODS BEWARE. on the wall, and had hung Mr. Filch's cat over the message. I don't even know what I was doing when that happened. And...I was daydreaming or something, and when I had snapped out of it, my robes were covered with rooster feathers! And stranger yet, Tom seemed to be becoming...more realistic? I don't know what's going on.

Chapter Five

I am SO confused!!! Students are being Petrified every day, and I don't know where I was when those things happened! I don't remember anything!!! I was fine before I met Tom Riddle! I can't trust that diary anymore! I'm going to throw it away!
