Arrie was a vampire. The only vampire in her small town of Pittsgrove. In fact, the only vampire in the world. So she though. It was a usual Autumn day and Arrie had woken to the sound of the fierce howling wind. Snow was falling, and this meant there would be no school. In Pittsgrove, it started to snow earlier than most other places. Vampires had to stay in cold places to survive. Arrie, however, wasn't the typical vampire. She preferred heat. She got chilled very easily, which most others didn't. Arrie was different. She climbed out of bed and wrapped herself like a Christmas Present in her robe tightly. Walking across the hall, she turned up the heat. It was about 55 degrees in the house. She swore her family were eskimos. 55 desgrees was a comfortable temperature for them. Arrie had a secret that she shared with none other then her best friend, Macy. Macy and Arrie had been friends since 1st grade now. 9 years. They rarely every fought or disagreed. They even looked alike, except for the fact that Arrie was a vampire. The only person that knew was Macy. They told each other everything. She never even told her parents. The house started to warm up and Arrie slipped on a pair of distressed jeans, grey uggs, and a sweater. She leaped down the stairs and glided right into the kitchen. She loved when the floor had been freshly washed, for she loved to glide around on it!
