welcome to my story.
i love writing. i've been doing it since I was little, creating stories on word. I still do that, but I've decided to share my stories with people on here. please tell me what you like about my writing, what you think I could improve on, and any other comments you'd like to share with me. I'd love for you to tell me. (:

this story is just.. not even a story. it's a bunch of little events patched together into one thread, all of them about my webkinz. there'll be a couple of chapters for each little story. (:

a little Halloween fun.
Salem licked her paw and rubbed it behind her ear, purring gently. It was nighttime. She had just received her favorite dinner - Fried Batcakes, of course! What else? - and now she was ready for a nice, long snooze. After grooming herself thoroughly, she leaped up onto her bed and slowly lay down, kneading the wad of blankets and pillows in front of her. Her eyes closed slowly, her mind slowly drifting off as she was transported to a land of Black Cats, in a place called Halloween town, where she was queen and everyone wan -
"BOO!"
Salem screamed, jumping up and falling to the floor in a panic. She instantly released her claws and her fur stood on end as she went into a low crouch. She let out a loud, threatening hiss, daring the prankster to show them self. Surprisingly, Ringo the Raccoon came around from the side of her bed, laughing. Salem let her claws slide back into place and she sat up, twitching her tale irritably and curling it around her paws neatly. She raised her head with dignity.
"That was mean." She scoffed, glaring at the raccoon. He had stopped laughing and now he was just smiling, a look of amusement still glowing in his eyes.
"That was funny," he corrected, not able to hold in the giggle that escaped through his mouth. Salem frowned, not finding anything funny enough to laugh about. What's so amusing about scaring a cat right as she was about to fall asleep and making her jump out of her skin?
"Not the slightest bit, Ringo.." She protested, her green eyes burning into his. He stopped snickering and looked at her, long and hard, then finally gave in.
"Look, you're a black cat. You're all for Halloween. ALL black cats are - that was just a little Halloween fun, okay? Calm your little kitty-face down."
Salem twitched her tail, taking in what he had just said. He was right, to a point.. "Ringo, just because Black Cats are a symbol of Halloween Night doesn't mean I love being scared to death as I'm falling asleep." She frowned once again.
Ringo rolled his eyes in response. "Oh well. Night, Salem," he left the room, stopping briefly to grab some desert from the fridge. When he was gone, Salem hopped onto the bed and curled into a tight ball, determined not to fall asleep or become the least bit unaware of her surroundings. Her ears darted around the room, picking up every sound.
Finally, after ten minutes of waiting for something to happen, she decided to just go to sleep. Surely Ringo wouldn't pull another prank? She lay her chin on her paws, which were stretched out in front of her. In a matter of seconds, she had fallen into a deep sleep.
But who was that over by the door, making their way towards the bed? It definitely wasn't Ringo, or another webkinz..
chapter two.
Salem was sleeping peacefully on a clump of warm fuzzy blankets. She purred, sound asleep but still picking up every sound around her. Her ears darted around like crazy, and she heard the creaking of the floor next to her. Woah - what?!
She lifted her head, shaking her head violently. No one was there. Nothing. Feeling uneasy, she rested her chin on the bed but kept her eyes open for several minutes.
Nothing.
Huh.
That was weird.
For a second she considered getting up to look around, expecting to find Ringo. But she decided against it. She was just imagining things.
With a sigh, she curled into a tighter ball and fell asleep, not awakening until morning.
"SALEM! SALEM! SALEM! SALEM! SALEM! SALEM! SALEM! SALEM!"
"Whaaa -" Salem opened her eyes, sunshine blinding her for a second. She stood up, stretching by arching her back. With a great yawn, she pushed out her claws and finally jumped off the bed. Jellybean was there, eyes full of fear. "What's wrong, Jellybean?"
"The - well, pancakes - but right now - over - before you - woke up - he -" the poor cotton candy bunny gasped for breath, hopping around in a circle.
"Jellybean! Calm down and tell me!" She urged her friend. Finally, she stopped and pulled her over to the corner of the room, whispering in her ear.
"Doug! Doug the dog!" She gulped. "Stole your gems!" She frowned and ran out of the room, calling something back over her shoulder about pancakes. With a twitch of her tail, Salem got up and stretched again. So it had been Doug - mean old Doug - who had been there last night.
"Good thing I only had a couple in here, anyway." Salem said to herself, heading after Jellybean to fetch some pancakes from Candice.
"SALEM! I got your gems back -" Ringo ran in, holding a bag of gems in his mouth. When he found the room empty, he hesitated, wondering what to do.
After a moment of thinking, he made up his mind and stalked out of the room.
"Finders keepers."

I love that intro so much! Is perfect, not boring or to much info or too litte info, it is great! My black cat's name is Salem too!

Salem twitched her tail, taking in what he had just said. He was right, to a point.. "Ringo, just because Black Cats are a symbol of Halloween Night doesn't mean I love being scared to death as I'm falling asleep." She frowned once again.

That was so funny! This reminds me of the parents and Marlin in 'Finding Nemo' where they expect Marlin to be funny just because he is a clown fish!
