Sometimes I just want to
Smile.
Open up my eyes and see the world for the first
Time in a while.
Sometimes I just want a
Hug.
A simple sniff of your perfume,
Or a single pat on the back.
Sometimes I just want a nice “I love you”
To know that I’m wanted.
And sometimes I just wish that when you see me cry,
You’d hand me a tissue.
And reminisce about the way things
Use to be.
