I think it's my best yet :] IT'S ABOUT FIELD HOCKEY.

Hey, mods! Here's a little heads up. If you see anything that's not perfectly kosher in my story, please send me a PM, and do not close this. I will respond and change it immediately! Or you could just ink it (mods can do that...right?), if it's that bad, which I'm pretty sure nothing in the story is bad.

Character sketches! You know you wanted them :]

Mackenzie (Kenzie-- Main Character)-

Kenzie has auburn hair to a little below her shoulders. It's not layered, and it's not dyed. It's a bit boring, some might say. Her hair is thick but not curly or wavy, and she has big brown eyes and freckles. Her hair is usually down with a bobby pin stuck in the right side or up in a side pony tail. (Trying to bring the 80's back all by herself.) She's a bit of an overachiever and is golden as a team member since she's almost always looking out for others- Your problems are her problems. That's why she's a great friend. But Kenzie can also be outspoken and wild. And obviously she is in love with the sport field hockey, and likes lacrosse mostly for fun.

Kala (Kay-luh=pronunciation)-

Kala is Kenzie's very best friend. Kala has black hair a little longer than Kenzies, and medium sized eyes, that are blue, but seem to have glints of purple. She's naturally tan from being part Cherokee Indian is truly is a really pretty girl. Her hair is always straight down, with a purple bow stuck in the right side. She has at least 15 different pink bows. She's artistic and free minded, and not nessacarily a good go-getter/ team leader like Kenzie. She's shy and collected and would never do anything wild. She's 100% innocent, and has never gotten a detention EVER, and she doesn't plan on it. Kala's parents are super overprotective and would just about disown her if she got a detention. So, she has reason not to get one. Kala doesn't play field hockey, and she's more in to this sculpting class she's taking and her schoolwork, which Kenzie lets off of a little.

Alexis-

Alexis is just about the most athletic girl EVER. She only wears soccer jerseys, shirts from field hockey tournaments, that kind of clothing, and mesh-y shorts, with her "lucky green Nikes" or her "lucky Chucks". Alexis is really superstitious and sometimes it can get annoying but she doesn't mean to be. Alexis has shoulder length dirty blonde hair that is always in a ponytail. ALWAYS. She only had it down for the eighth grade homecoming dance when she went with DJ. She looked really pretty, but she's really self conscious. Alexis is pretty skinny, but doesn't look like, sickly or anything and she has sort of tanned skin.

Meghan-

Meghan is by far, the prettiest girl in school. She's a normal height for being an 8th grader, and has an athlete's body. She's pretty much Kenzie's field hockey and social rival. Meghan has gorgeous blonde hair that's pretty long, well, about 3 inches below shoulder length. Her hair falls in incredible waves, and it never frizzes. She has strikingly icy blue eyes, that are almost unreal. Meghan isn't necessarily mean, but it's easy to be "mean" when whatever you say travels like lightning in water. (Quickly!) Everybody "loves" Meghan, because if you say bad things about her, you can pretty much consider yourself socially dead.

James-

James' is Meghan's boyfriend. He's pretty tall for an 8th grader, at 5'11''. James has dark brown hair, and it's pretty much straight, except it flips over his eyes. He has GORGEOUS brown eyes, and is pretty much a show stopper-- That's why he deserves Meghan. They both have great looks, right? Stick together? Wrong. James is just about the nicest guy you will ever meet, and even volunteers at a homeless shelter and gives out sandwiches weekly-- Plus, he's adopted 3 animals and is a member of PETA! Isn't he the best? So he still deserves Meghan right? Or maybe he deserves....Kenzie?

DJ-

DJ is Alexis' boyfriend, since the homecoming dance two weeks ago. He's also super athletic, and is on the select football team of the region and wants to make varsity as a freshman, which no one doubts that he will. He has shaggy light brown hair and blue eyes. He's really out there and spontaneous, which is why him and Kenzie are good friends. He doesn't really like Meghan and he's one of those people that doesn't really care about popularity, and would most definitely stand up to Meghan.

THERE WILL NOT BE ANY MORE CHARACTER SKETCHES, FOR NOW! Because I don't really have any more important characters right now.... I could add Mrs. Trinech xD

Chapter 1

Mrs. Trinech's Classroom, Pd.6 of 6.

I stared at the clock. It seemed like it was ticking slower and slower. Practice was tonight, up at Huddart Park. 3:00 to 5:15. Normally, practice was only up to 5:00 but, today, we had to run sprints at the end. Strangely, I was excited. I didn't mind. I loved field hockey. It was my sport. Half of my life (ok, I will admit it, most of my life) revolved around that sport. It was now 1:53. The bell rang at 2:00, so I guess I should of been more patient. But I raised my hand. "Mrs. Trinech, can I go to the bathroom?" It was a Friday, I was sick of school. My stomach felt sick too, because of the unsatisfactory grade report that I had just received for that class. Mrs. Trinech looked at me. Straight at me. A weird kind of stare. "There's only 7 minutes left of class, Mackenzie. You can hold it." My stomach and hopes of leaving early sank. "But, I really have to go, Mrs. Trinech." She looked at me with the same stare. "Mackenzie, you can wait 7 more minutes. We are in a testing situation, and this is disruptful." She said slowly and firmly. "But I already finished my quiz--" I started to reproof her, and she stopped me and said, "Oh, yes, sure Mackenzie, you can go to the bathroom." She paused, but she wasn't smiling, or going back to her work. Just that same stare. "Sure, you can. In detention." Mrs. Trinech emphasized the detention. My eyebrows narrowed. This was not fair!
"But I--" She looked straight at me. AGAIN. "There are no buts. You're staying. When the bell rings, stay here. 1 hour." I didn't say anything, but nodded to show that I understood. Why couldn't I have just shut my big mouth? Now I'd really done it. I just couldn't stop myself from flying off the handle. And flying just crashed me right in to detention.
The bell rang. I stayed in my seat.

Chapter 2

Mrs. Trinech's Classroom
2:05 PM
"Kenzie, could you please explain to me why you have to stay for your 3rd detention in the past month?" Mrs. Trinech said, getting up from her desk and walking over to where I was sitting. I opened my mouth, but nothing came out. The sad part about the 'this month' thing, was that so far there had only been a week and a half in the month of November.
"Ummmm....Because I am disrespectful and I talk too much?" I said, with a half smile, hoping if I agreed with her she would let me go early. The clock was ticking...She looked at me, her eyes staring directly at mine. It was kinda creepy, in a way. "Mackenzie, it's much more than talking and disrespecting, if it happens more than once." She continued to look at me. "It's a behavioral issue. For most people, one time would be enough, and it would never happen again."
"I'm stubborn?" I said, hoping she would laugh and I would get off a little easier. "Well, yes, you are stubborn Mackenzie, but, that's not the deal. Next time, I am talking to your parents. But I hope there is no next time." She looked at me, as she walked back over to her desk, where she was previously grading papers. "I want you at that desk until 3:00. No getting up for anything, just sit there with your head down." I let out a deep breath I was holding in. First she gives me my 3rd detention, and then at it, she tells me I have behavioral problems. What is WITH this chick? My phone buzzed in my pocket. It was Alexis, sending a mobile AIM message.
xxaLexSpOrTyChIcxx: practice strted....why arent u ther? coach is going 2 kill u! already making us run laps, u r goin 2 have 2 run double! getting water right now.
WHAT? Really? I planned on getting there when we got water. Not sitting in the detention room!

I knew this was a decision I would regret, but, Huddart Park was right next door, and, Mrs. Trinech looked REALLY engulfed in her paper grading business. The classroom door was already open, my chair was already pushed out (dont have to worry about making noise!), my backpack was already on my back. I snuck out the door.

Ok, so everyone, read the first chapter and post, please tell me what you think! It would mean the world to me. 5 posts until the next chapter! Or, I might change it to 3 if it's not getting enough posts.

Mrs. Trinech is just like myenglish teacher. she lets us out like 3 minutes after the bell rings.
and she doesnt let us out of our seats even for a tissue.
She has to get it. haha.
But anyways getting off topic again.
