PHILADELPHIA- Jim Johnson the philadelphia eagles defensive coordinator assistant died at age 68. He died of a cancerous tumor in his spine! From 2000- 08, Johnson ranked second in the NFL in sacks (390). The Eagles made the playoffs seven times and he produced 26 Pro Bowl selections.

Brett Favre retires from the Minnesota Vikings.

Tuesday, Favre, who had been courted by Vikings coaches and players alike, informed the team that after months of soul-searching, he had decided to stay retired.

Tips to survive middle school:

Includes mentions of dating and/or liking someone else. If this bothers you, don't read. Nothing worse than that though.

Don't listen when people call you names. They are probably jealous or they might even like you.
Dress in colors that match each other. You don't want to over-do it and have your clothes clash.
Don't tell your secrets to people you don't completely trust. Only your true best friends.
If you like the same guy/girl as your friend, don't let it get between you and ruin your friendship. You should both promise that you won't date him/her or that, if one of you does, the other won't be hurt.
If you like a guy, take a chance and ask him out. Don't be shy, becuase you will never know if he likes you or not.
If you are having trouble making friends, join some of your school's clubs. I guarentee that you will find someone with the same interests as you and, possibly, a new best friend!
If the popular kids are making fun of you, don't let it bother you. Just tell them what you think of them or completely drop it.
Don't let any crushes get in the way of your school work or ruin your friendships.
Being the center of attention or being popular isn't always the best thing. It can gain you a lot of enemies.
