Hmm, that's a good question. But, I don't think so... I just like it cause it's different and gives them some variety.
I'm guessing it does to an extent, cause theres a lot of solid border around it, as opposed to like a bunch of different colors (more colors = bigger file).
And, when it's rounded, it usually takes up less room and I can crop it.
