Default Macy's Thanksgiving Parade
The Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is also thought of on this day along with eating turkey. Macy's employess staged the first parade in 1924. It was so successful that they decided to make it an annual event. The first character balloon to make an appearance at the parade was Felix the Cat.

What year was that?

My Mom works for Macys, but she's never gone, But I still know, cuz her office mates worked it, and I recently looked it, becuase my friend going LOL.
