We're on chapter 10 so far, but I think it's a little weird. No offense! | | | 11-19-2009, 09:09 PM | #32 | So happy to be Gifted Join Date: Jun 2008 Posts: 2,358 | Re: The Giver Yes, I loved it. Very thought-provoking. I read it by choice, not for school. | | | 11-19-2009, 09:49 PM | #33 | Zeph. 3:17 Gifted Join Date: Jan 2008 Posts: 14,185 | Re: The Giver Originally Posted by tyco45 OMG, my class has to read that for our Novel Literature class! One you get farther into into the book, you'll enjoy it more. | | | 11-19-2009, 09:52 PM | #34 | ♥Clarinet 4♥ Webkinz :) Join Date: Jul 2008 Posts: 5,170 | Re: The Giver I just finished reading it for language arts a couple weeks ago. I didn't like that book. Nope! I mean, it's fine. Just fine. Nothing more. It was just strange | | | 11-19-2009, 10:26 PM | #35 | ~{Midnight.Train}~ Webkinz :) Join Date: Nov 2008 Posts: 6,756 | Re: The Giver Yes! I agree totally! One of the point-blank most thought provoking books I've ever read. It absolutely killed me. I mean, it was horribly painful to read, I cried numerous times. I've actually read it three or four times since. It really is just... wow. Like you, we had to read it in school last year. | | | 11-19-2009, 10:35 PM | #36 | Gifted Join Date: Dec 2008 Posts: 48,263 | Re: The Giver I haven't heard of it. | | | 11-19-2009, 10:35 PM | #37 | here is Kia?
