WoW! Unbelievable what this one store is charging for TCs! What is the highest price you've seen for TCs at a retail store (not on-line)?!

I was Zellers (Canada - HBC Stores) today and decided to grab an ink cartridge for my printer .. I had to pass a stand of assorted trading cards, when to my surprise, I saw some 4-pks of Webkinz TCs! .. yeaaaa!

They were assorted Series I and Series II cards...... I was pretty excited, because I figured that being a prepackaged deal, I would actually GET a deal, right?! ....Wrong! ... I did a price check and .. are you sitting down?! .... $15.95 + tax!!!!!!!!

This was for only for 4 packs! ... of the older series! .. Unbelievable! This is definitely the highest price that I have seen TCs! ... No, I didn't get them .... it would be nice to have been able to get some of the older series cards, but not at that price!!!

Ive seen single packs of series one priced at 6.99 That as much(if not more) than most lil kinz are here!

I have seen them for $3.99 But not lately. Usually the older ones are like $2.99 a pack or cheaper Thanks !!!Making sure they are not overpriced !!

Our Wal-mart has begun selling that prepackaged set too...FOR $10

I have seen a 1 pack for about $6.00 or $7.00!! but I think that they should be priced at $3.00 or so.

All the stores around here sell them for $2.95-$2.99 a pack.. but I have been able to buy the older ones for as low as $1.49...

Incredible! We had a store here that was selling older Webkinz for that price! I am amazed that retailers are pricing the TCs so high! Mom w/ charm might have the right idea re: Retail Police!!!

A store near us sells all the cards no matter what series for 3.99. The hallmark a block away sells them for 2.99.

When Target stores in NC sell Series 1 or 2 they usually price them at $4/pack. I have seen some multi packs there at 3 pks for $10. But I usually just get my cards at Justice when they have 40% off sales or at Books a Million because they charge $2.95 but I get member 10% discount. And sometimes their pet selection is surprisingly good! I've also gotten the 4 pks/$10 value set at Walmart. Honestly, while it's not easy to plunk down all the money at once, my best deals have been buying boxes of cards online, usually around $60/box of 36 pks. That's less than $2/pk. I got Series 1 & 2 that way as a treat to self when DH was out of town on business and I was struggling with the kids on my own those weeks.

Well the store I got to it is 2.50 plus tax... Its just a cheap store I go there everytime I want to get a webkinz because Hallmark and some other stores sell them way too high! An yes that is kind of a high price!

I've seen them at 2.99 and then it was either 3.99 or 4.99 at Walgreens. It sounds like they wanted 4 packs for 3.99, which is still steep, if you consider the fact that some people can get them for at least a dollar cheaper.
