Default Trading Card Deja Vu? Updated 11/05/09

Webkinz World Glitch Report - Webkinz Insider Wiki is the direct link to where it was put in the Wiki Glitch Report {main page} today. That particular thread is NOT postable {to} but there is still the original for report wiki glitch thread at http://www.webkinzinsider.com/forum/...g-card-557181/ so feel free to post there or copy/paste from here to there -- AND THANKS FOR ALL THE INPUT TO DATE!!

I HAVE UPDATED THE OTHER THREAD WITH THE NEW UPDATES, EXTENDED PROBLEMS, AND OTHER THINGS SUCH AS THERE NOW BEING THE INDOOR GAMER THEME BED {PREVIOUS} AND OUTDOOR GAMER THEME BED {UPCOMING} IN ESTORE -- FURTHER PROOF THEY ARE MESSING WITH ALREADY MESSED UP PROGRAMMING AND DON'T WANT TO DO ANYTHING ABOU T THEIR MESSUPS!!

I am used to getting the Virtual Trading Card Packs {VTCs}, opening them and getting duplicate cards {in the SAME pack} which shouldn't happen. I personally don't think we should get duplicates at all until we have at least one of each because {as they say themselves} it's just virtual cards going for virtual items -- but it is REAL money to buy the real packs to get the codes for the virtual ones, the ones available in Series 1 & 2. Here's a picture of what I consider 'ridiculous' {first several pictures, where ever they post}.

Today I got in a bunch {close to 30 packs}, put them in, and immediately noticed duplicates. This time I mean duplicates times how ever many packs; each pack opened up the SAME EXACT CARDS, which it beyond ridiculous! The last 3 pictures show Series 1 {every single pack just like the first of the 3 pictures}, and Series 2 {where every other one was like next to last picture, the other ones where every one was like the last picture}.

Is anyone getting this? Has anyone else ever seen this happen? What's up with the programming? {Yes, from an ex-computer tech LOL but well no one knows everything.}

Due to some comments on this thread I went back and looked at both books of cards, by card section, and this is what I added up {updated stats}:

Series 1 --
Deck 80 cards to open, still lack, almost 5 times amount duplicate
Challenge 15 cards to open, still lack, over 3 times amount duplicate
Curio 8 cards to open, no cards lacking but almost 3 times amount
Doodlez 8 cards to open, still lack, almost 2 times amount duplicate

Section 2 --
Deck 88 cards to open, is open, almost 7 times amount duplicate
Challenge 15 cards to open, is open, almost 4 times amount duplicate
WTales 8 cards to open, is open, 50% amount duplicate
At Paw Level 8 cards to open, still lack 1, 50% amount duplicate

Added: Meant to say that adding all those cards up, dividing that total by 5 came to 236.6 {at time} which can't possibly be right {partial packs} so went back, counted the cards again and triple checked my math on calculator, but I still get that -- which means there are cards I have gotten that haven't counted themselves. Also, even saying 237 packs of cards {1185 single cards equalling} with 36 packs to a box means that I have gotten 6.58333333 {etcetera} BOXES worth, so over 6 and a half boxes worth of cards, and from those I have yet to open the different sections. {Currently at something like 7 plus boxes}. THERE ARE 6 CARDS IT IS OFF WHEN DIVIDING TO GET 5 CARDS PER PACK, WHICH MEANS THE 6 CARDS I LACK TOTAL WERE GOTTEN JUST NEVER COUNTED/SHOWED UP!

UPDATED INFO: Plus, shortly after, those entering a few codes again quickly found that the cards repeated exactly same way again, unless in rare instance the packs were separated by long interval of time {hours and hours} but even then would start repeating themselves.

I know what you mean, it is hard to find series one and two trading cards in my area so it makes it even harder to get those special vitual trading card prizes. I agree, they should stop this madness

Don't know what's up with the programming, because those last two pictures every card pack I opened up looked just like that, picture A then picture B back to picture A then back to picture B; that was a LOT of cards to be putting in to not only get duplicates but actually twin and then triplet then quadruplet and so on, just no reason for that. They should finish out my cards, if nothing more {like give back all the duplicates, unopened}, so totally messed up that was

I get the same thing although not as much as you have. That's rotten luck. It's aggravating because it seems like it's just not possible to complete the TC 1 & 2 sets and I don't even want to think how many I have entered. I understand Ganz wanting to make it challenging but I think it is a bit much and out of hand how many you have to enter to get any of the big Prizes. As you said we are paying for each set of cards and deserve some sort of benefit eventually.

The duplicates in the same virtual pack were bad enough, but those last 3 pictures, without duplicates -- the first of that 3 was Series 1 and it's the same EXACT thing I got when I opened like 10 packs of VTC1, 10 exactly like that. Then the last 2 pictures I got the first one then the second then the first one again then the second, for like 20 packs of VTC2. That just isn't right. Switched computers during this, and it still happened, so it's defnitely something messed up in their programming and they need to finish unlocking my cards that's for sure!

After going through 3+ boxes of series one, I still haven't unlocked anything. I'm 1 card (#26) away from finishing out the base set, I have over 20 of at least a half dozen different cards. Still 2 challenge cards away, the others I don't hold much hope for ever unlocking. I've only bought 1 box of series 2, but I got all the challenge cards (unlocked the space explorer), and I'm only 4 cards away from finishing out the base set. Not sure if I'll buy any more series one; besides not being able to unlock anything, the codes in my last box were about 75% kinzcash, plus a bunch of coupons, wshop food and clothes, and posters. I got maybe 3 or 4 pieces of furniture and a rare toy box...pretty disappointing.

I've done a bit better on unlocking but not sure how many VTCs I traded for once I got in to the GE {trading part here, after finishing the GT {training}. Each pack is a 'chunk' of kc to get even in trade, but otherwise spending real money eh, although way back when I bought a whole box of TC1 was totally disappointed -- mismatched clothes, wshop at that, posters, groceries, and just other assorted junk. I don't even remember getting one rare out of the whole bunch or even one of their TC theme prizes. Bought a single pack for my friend and he got 5000 kc from it, but that from what I hear is way rare {to get that much at one time}; my kc was consistently under 100 {well under}.

I wonder sometimes if it's coded to do better on certain accounts or something, because someone in the thread about TCs was listing out what they got and it was a major haul of kc {bigger amounts too}, a lot of rare theme items and TC theme prizes and all sorts of things like that.

Morning Key Largo, I totally feel your disappointment! I spent lots of time trading/sometimes buying VTC codes. The last time I entered them was the first time I noticed the doubles in the same pack. I stopped buying packs of cards because I was spending $3 on a pack of cards for 37KC or some other worthless prize. Just yesterday I broke down and bought 2 Series 4 packs, it brought back those disappointed feeling all over again. I won 2 posters. I have been able to open a two of the virtual prizes for Series 2, but no matter how many I put in I don't seem to get any closer to the bigger prizes. A few weeks ago I traded for 21 VTC1 packs and didn't get a single card towards the bigger prizes. It does seem like they are making it impossible or there is something wrong with the programming.

Hi,
We have entered hundreds and hundreds of codes. Last weekend, we entered 46 more codes and finally unlocked 80/80 or webkinz cards and 15/15 of the challenge cards. We have repeats of everything in the range from 5 to 19. The Curio shop and Doodlez will not load the last few cards. We have a minimum of 5 of each of these cards. I was told by Ganz that very few cards were released to unlock those last few cards. My kids are very frustrated and I am tired of spending the money trying to unlock the last few sets. By the way, this is from Series 1. We were successful in completing Series 2 with very low repeats in both of our accounts. Good luck to all!
