Wel depends where you look and which series you want to buy.
If you gio to amazon there $70 for seires 4 and just $10 cheaper for series 3.
Why not buuy a kinz klip or two and a few packs of cards, therefore you have extra money left.

Well, I'm not exactly sure how much the trading cards cost. Online, you can find places selling individual packs, 6 packs, or boxes. I think the boxes (not sure how many packs are in a box), are like $60 or $70? I'm not sure.

I remember reading a post, months ago, where a member spent quite a bit of money on trading cards, and spent a lot of time opening the packs and entering the codes, and wasn't satisfied by what trading card items they got. I think they were hoping for a Magical Retriever or other free pets, but didn't get them.

So my best advice would be to check out the "Item Picture Gallery" here on WI (above the WI banner at the top of every forum page). Scroll down the first page, there are pics of all the trading card items, for all 4 series of cards. See if there are any items that you just absolutely love, and maybe buy some cards from that series. But understand that you may not get much of that stuff, it can be pretty random.

Cards are pricey! But we just got 10 packs of S3 (2 sets of 5), and 2 had free pets in them.

But you can get boxes of S1 and S2 for $50 and come out really good on those, too (KC, prizes). S1 and S2 packs have "pack codes" that can be entered in WW, so you collect them (and play with them) online. The best part is when you complete parts of those series, you unlock AWESOME prizes you can't get anywhere else! (Check out "Item Picture Gallery" at the very top of WI to see what I'm talking about!)

Still, for the money, I'd wait for a great sale to come along. Costco had this sale in June where you could get 10 packs of cards and 2 Webkinzes for $8! I got 3 sets, and came out with 6 Webbies and 30 packs of cards for under $30! You might not find THAT great a deal real soon, but I'd sit on my money if I were you, and wait to see what comes up in the next month or so. (I found out about that sale here on WI!)

I never bought a box before, but a lot of packs. If you buy a series 1 box, you can upload the pack codes to get prizes, and you can get a whole room of series 1, because you can find 1-4 codes on a card. series 2 is pretty much the same, just with better prizes.

now here comes series 3, you get better prizes but no pack codes, and here is were they started dr. quack and miss birdy stuff, and series 4 just has a gigantic collection of stuff from characters like arte, and krafty kimmy!

now, series 1 and 2 cards you can read the bottom of the card, it can describe the picture or explain an action. Series 3 has a picture, and on the back a couple questions. ( somewhat like quizzys for webkinz ) and series 4 has a picture, the name of what it is and where is that location and on the back: a story. If you get all cards from series 4, you can get to read a somewhat untold story of sally, pursilla ( or what ever her name is ) malena and stoogles! and friends...

In series 1 and 2, there are also doodle cards and rare cards. rare cards are shiny and doodles show the sketch of the actually item. I have 1 online, it was the dragon bed, not in color, just the sketch.
