But the one thing I want most of all is a Magical Retriever! I have tried and tried. Bought packs and packs of cards. I think it is great to have rare pets. BUT maybe after a year or so Ganz could run some contests. Or even make it like a one day a year chance to buy the pet in the estore.
Just wondering what everyone else thinks about this? I will keep on buying series three when I find them. And just keep wishing! __________________ Last edited by msbirdyskids21; 09-20-2009 at 03:58 PM.. | | | 08-16-2009, 08:14 PM | #2 | Christmas is Gifted Join Date: Jul 2008 Posts: 9,532 | Re: Magical Retriever The e-store? thats NOT fair to every1 who tyhinks the e-store is a waste (i do!) but yeah some contests would be nice huh? __________________ Happy Thanksgiving! | | | 08-17-2009, 04:52 PM | #3 | PandaMan810 Webkinz :) Join Date: Aug 2009 Posts: 66 | Re: Magical Retriever Yes, The e-store would be nice, but then it wouldn't be so rare anymore if you could get it at the estore. Even if it was one time only. People would be begging their parents to buy it or whatever.
That's just my opinion though.

Some people get it by extreme luck. But some people (Hopefully you!) get it by buying TONS of trading cards... I think it would take away the specialness of the magical retriever to sell it in the Estore or have a contest for one.

It would take away from how special that pet really is ! __________________ | | | 08-17-2009, 06:37 PM | #6 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Dec 2008 Posts: 140 | Re: Magical Retriever Why not just buy one off e-Bbay?... They have come way down in price and it's very safe and easy... And speaking as someone who did spend the time and money into pulling a Magical Retriever from a pack when series #3 was first released... I think it would ruin the value and the rarity of the Magical Retriever... As much as i would love to buy a Cheeky Dog... I would not want Ganz to re-release any of their retired Webkins... It would ruin the "chase" factor... It would sort of take the fun out of it if they just gave us everything we wanted... There would be nothing else to look for or trade for... That is untill the next new Webkinz get released...LOL... PEACE! __________________ I AM THE PUMPKIN KING!!! That is untill the next new Webkinz get released...LOL... PEACE! This summer I watched three magical retriever cards on ebay that were all won by the same buyer. The three went for $455, $455.00, and $167.50. On the third auction, the main competitor gave up trying to bid against him. I suspect the winner may have been willing to pay the same high price if anyone bid more. Right now there is one on ebay that has a high bid of $152.50 with 2 1/2 days left, and so far the winner mentioned above has not placed a bid.
I'm not sure you will choose to buy from ebay, but I hope this info helps. I purchased a box of series three TC around the same time these auctions were going and had found a magical retriever card in that box. But if you are only looking for the one card, ebay may cost less in the end.
I really hope you find your magical retriever. | | | 08-19-2009, 06:28 PM | #9 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Jul 2008 Posts: 325 | Re: Magical Retriever Ya it is better to just keep buying trading cards because if they had it at the estore for just 1 day a lot of people would buy it and it wouldn't really be a rare webkinz anymore. __________________ Go to 10Lovie's name and rating

Many webkinz fansites have had Magical Retriever contests. There was one here on WI a few months ago and I also had one on my site as well. I think it is time for webkinznewz to do the same. I would love a chance to win one myself. I don't have one either. | | | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
