I've managed to unlock the Deck Prize (trophy) and am only 2 away for both curio and challenge. I'm pretty far away on Doodlez. I'm wondering if it is feasible to get them with another "box" of TC or if I'm starting to go crazy on this latest addiction. So for those of you who have completed all the prizes, can you give me an idea of how many boxes or packs it took? Thanks. | | | 07-19-2009, 12:49 PM | #2 | Mush gets drumstick Gift Coach Join Date: Oct 2007 Posts: 6,879 | Re: How long to unlock all prizes Series 1 In Series Two, there is a filter on the virtual cards:
If you open a pack and there's a W-Tales or Paws Level card, it will be one you don't already have. You won't get doubles of those, so as soon as you get all of them you get the big prize : )
There is no such feature in Series One.
When you open a pack, if there is a Doodlez card in there, it may be the same one you got last time. And the time before. And the time before that!
It takes 8 Doodlez cards to unlock the grand prize, and you may get many multiples of some before you collect the last one.
You may want to brace yourself: It took me 931 packs of Series One cards before i finally opened 8 unique Doodlez cards. I had something like 6 or 8 of some of them, but couldn't find that last one : (
I'm sure there are people out there who were lucky enough to get the grand prize sooner than i did, and I hope they will give you a more positive outlook. But in my experience, it is going to take you a long time and a LOT of money to unlock the Sketched Window.
Good luck!

I stopped because it was getting ridiculous. Hope you have better luck than I have had. __________________ John 3:16

I blush at the money I have dumped on the boxes in that series!! __________________ WARNING: I'm a Carpet Shark !! You have to like the cards for their prizes, even the ones you think are redundant.....The 10th+ Webkinz studio brings you KC or a surprise for a friend, the coupons bring you discounts when they offer holiday furniture, and the blah, blah, blah always gives you KC when you sell it back!!! I used to be able to up my KC by at least 10,000 with a box. If you are a trader, you may get good things for a trade. I have to agree with everyone so far......
Series One is VERY hard to complete. Series Two is easier.....even Ganz said that.
This is part of the reason, or THE ENTIRE reason why Series Three and Series Four do NOT have the Virtual Cards.....much to the Joy or Dismay of the Webkinz Players or Addicts.....(lol...sorry).
My oldest sister did the Series One....I did the Series Two. She started about 6 months BEFORE me, and didn't give up until about 6 months AFTER me. it took me 9 weeks to complete mine....and no one in my area sold the cards, so I had to snag them when I could---much to my DH's dismay......and I NEVER purchased a box of cards at all (I WAS lucky as I was able to purchase the code cards at one point when they were still an option......from someone).
My sister....she purchased cards by the pack and then by the box and by several boxes....at a time. After about 15 months....she finally stopped collecting....and....she never finished. She has the last 2 sections incomplete. She needs ONE of one of the cards, and 4 of the other cards (since I do not collect them, I forget which is which....but it is the last 2 sections--the harder cards to find....). She has MULTIPLES of several of those last cards though.
When I did the Series 2 cars, I only had ONE of each of the last cards......(this is probably related to the filter mentioned above.)....while the other section, I had more than one of them. (perhaps the last section is the W-tales? I forgot which was which.....--sorry).
Hope this adds some insight......

Webkinz Deck Cards (85 to complete)
- I have 409 Cards
Challenge Cards (15 to complete)
- I have 50 Cards
Wshop Tails (8 to complete)
- I have 13 Cards
At Paw Level (8 to complete)
- I have 8 Cards
409+50+13+8 = 480
480 / 5 = 96 packs
@ $2.50 a pack (average) = $240.00

I blush at the money I have dumped on the boxes in that series!! i have to agree with you on this.. i have to blush too but i was a lucky one and finsihed that series and was glad that i did. the funny thing is, i was meandering around one of my other accounts the other day and came across a book on the floor in a room and when i went up to it and opened it, it was a series one virtual binder.... i had started collecting there and had totally forgotten about it!!!!! i ordered one of those sets for 9.87 of webbies (with 10 packs of cards thrown in for good measure) from costco on line the other day so those10 packs of series 1 ( i think it is series 1) will go into that binder. not that it will help any.

Momma Thanks for the info Momma. My jaw just dropped though, 931 packs! I'm not sure it's worth it but I bet there aren't very many who have the patience (and finances) that you have. Enjoy that prize!

I love my webkinz, I love my webkinz, I love my webkinz. Well that's not as bad. I've already got 40 (oh how I love Costco!) and in the first 5 got my first mystery pet (dalmation). It may be worth it to get 2 more boxes to see if I can do Series 2.

Hate to burst your bubble but they are Series 2.
Thanks to everyone for giving such great advice. I really appreciate it. Now on to opening a few more of the new Series 2 packs I got (Costco!).
BTW, does it ****off anyone else that you often get food in Series 2? I've probably gotten more good items in 2 than 1 but food!
