22/8/4/2! Haven't unlocked any yet, but hey! the day is young! well, aunt mary..this last box was a bit different...2 quads... 4 triples....7 doubles...
and 23 singles.
i got no free packs of virtual cards in the codes. i did get another mohawk (as i had said in a previous port) and i got several of the new posters. more gamers pieces.... but a lot of the trading card theme.... the flooring, lamp, fridge, side table, coffee table... i also got quite a few nice kc prizes...one was 500. of course there were the minor variety of w-shop items, some
i kept to use in rooms, and some i sold back. i got the periwinkle wig, and the wizard robe
but no kinzstyle bags this time. i am going to collect the real cards and sort them out for
an idea of how they broke down in the box. i still have to go in to my one spread sheet and
get the results from the second box i bought and post it. so this is it for this box. i have
to wait for that "stimulus" check to get another box. i am just one virtual "at paw level" card
shy of completing the binder in the second account. | | | 04-13-2008, 10:24 PM | #72 | ho's a lurkyloo? Gift Coach Join Date: Apr 2008 Posts: 15,210 | Re: Comparison Of Code Cards In Tc 1.0 And 2.0. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this thread today! I usually buy my TC pack-by-pack, but am looking into getting a box or two of them this week. I'll post my stats when I get them and get them opened.
Side note: We bought about 25 or so single packs this week and got 2 virtual pets. I did not know to look through the whole packs until today, so hard telling how many extras I have thrown away these past several months .... sigh, I guess hind's sight is 20-20. | | | 04-13-2008, 11:32 PM | #73 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 153 | Re: Comparison Of Code Cards In Tc 1.0 And 2.0. Mathmom--don't feel bad about the virtual pets, I missed my only one for probably several days, until I went to sort the cards one day & found it. So you're not the only one to not realize those cards are in there.
And I've gone through probably 60 packs or more at this point, with only the one TC pet (a golden retriever) to show up. The local store actually commented today, "You're in here a lot, aren't you? Do you collect these for your daughter?" I had to confess that my only kids were pets, both real & virtual!
As for trading, well, I do have a tidy trading list for whenever I finally reach gifted status here, but I do trade elsewhere already & have done very well there. One thing to note! Be careful with those W-Shop clothing items. Four times now, I've received what I thought was W Shop clothing (at least, that's what the message said!) and it turned out that one piece of the batch was actually Kinzstyle instead! So watch the KC amounts carefully if you're selling them back for the cash. Tonight, I had a pair of rhinestone jeans I mistook for the regular ones!
I may hold off on more than just the one box; I have some pets I want instead. Such a tradeoff....more cards, or more Kinz.......
Oh, and Aunt Mary--we played a joke on one of the men I worked with a couple of years ago. Outfitted his entire office as a "Museum of Modern Technology" (we're in the high tech industry)--with the oldest late 80s-early 90s computers we could find, a disco ball, a very old stoplight, a manual credit card machine (the old carbon copy style), a few typewriters from mid century, an old Atari 2600, you name it. We even had our IT crew install an old rotary dial phone that actually worked! He couldn't access his voicemail though: "press 1 to hear new messages" doesn't exactly work well with a pulse phone.
And my husband picked up a working rotary dial phone that he installed in his shop downstairs, next to his antique pay phone, his antique gumball dispenser, all his WWII uniforms..... | | | 04-14-2008, 12:09 AM | #74 | jade1922 Webkinz :) Join Date: Feb 2008 Posts: 39 | Re: Comparison Of Code Cards In Tc 1.0 And 2.0. I have bought 5 boxes of tc1 and 1 and a half of tc2. A resonable place to buy boxes of cards and webkinz are: www.thecardkid.com.
I have noticed that I get a different amount of codes per box (never thought to write it down though!!) and one vitrual pet.
It also only took me the same amount of the TC 2 cards to get the first three prizes from the virtual cards. It took me forever to find Booger from the TC1 to finish my collection and get the trophy. I have given up on finding all of the virtual doodles. Maybe I'll be more lucky with the TC 2 cards??? | | | 04-14-2008, 12:13 AM | #75 | Lil Kinz Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 4 | Re: Comparison Of Code Cards In Tc 1.0 And 2.0. Well, I am another grandma over 50...so hi to y'all! I have found this thread quite interesting. I do buy trading cards, but have yet to buy a box at a time. That must be loads of fun! I usually give my real trading cards that I end up with to my grandkids, as they actually play the real game at home. I just buy them for the items I hope I will be getting...but have had to trade for most of the gamer's garden furniture...I mostly get the TC 2 furniture. I have not got any of the AC stuff. | | | 04-14-2008, 01:02 PM | #78 | Guest | Re: Comparison Of Code Cards In Tc 1.0 And 2.0. How much is a box of trading cards? | | | | 04-14-2008, 01:30 PM | #79 | laurihof Webkinz :) Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 12 | Re: Comparison Of Code Cards In Tc 1.0 And 2.0. Well I feel right at home here for my first post! I'm not a grandma, but I am a 45 year old mom of 7 and 9 year olds. They each got their first Webkinz for Christmas this past year and here I am... a Webkinz-aholic!
I just bought my second box of TC series one (didn't keep track of the first) and will report my findings tonight. My favorite local retailer sold me both for half off because they are anxious to get series 2, and had way too many series 1 and were looking to "clear the shelves" a bit. Unfortunately, it's the end of that road there though, because they are finally about out. My next stop will probably be ebay. At least they had been selling single packs for 20% off since I found the store.
Geez I'm hooked! | | | 04-14-2008, 03:41 PM | #80 | ondermoose Gifted Join Date: Jan 2008 Posts: 456 | Re: Comparison Of Code Cards In Tc 1.0 And 2.0. ..... I did the same thing! Had stacks and stacks of the series I trading cards and realized that there were two virtual monkeys hiding in there! I used one to open an Asian account since it seems they get all the good rares these days. | | | | | | Tags | ?:o, ???, adnap lacitsym, cheekylove was here, crinkle on!, crinkling? wat's that???, dudeness was here, forrichpeopleonly, heart891011 was here, i love kinzcoin wuz here, kevinelevin was here!, lanawas here!, mintchip luvsdacrinkle, miss spots rocks!, mystical panda, mystical panda backward, no crinkling allowed!, pigsrockoutloud, raggle saggle, squirrel <3 tcg, t.t.tawnypup, tee hee ninja me, wrong | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
