I have bought my cards in bulk but not always in a sealed box. The first time I bought 60 Series 2 packs I got 3 Mystery Virtual pets. Today I finished opening my second set of 60 with my son and we found not even one mystery pet card! What a dissapointment.

I found that when I bought the boxes of series 1 cards there was always a free pet. However, I bought 3 boxes of series 2 cards without getting a free pet! I may just be the unluckiest person or they arent putting one in every box

i had this happen with a box of series one cards. no virtual pet. i called them on the
phone and the rep i spoke to said that the box doesn't GUARANTEE a free pet..it says
you COULD GET a free pet. so now i am wondering, if when they are packaging the
cards for shipment, if maybe the reason why some get 2 in a box is because someone else's
box has no pet. they must make a certain amount of virtual pet cards, and if the machine
that fills the boxes runs amok, it could insert 2 or even 3 in a box, leaving other boxes short.

I just bought another box of TC 1.0 and also noticed that it came with 22 single codes, 8 double codes, 4 triples and 2 quadruples. I wouldn't be surprised then if that's how they are packaged consistently. I was a little disappointed that the virtual pet in this box was another Frog. That's the 3rd one so far, was kind of hoping for something different.

KelCoo70...please warn me next time...

I nearly choked on that "economic stimulus package" line! By the time we get it, it might pay for a tank of gas!

I finally worked my taxes this weekend and get this...Hichmond said I owe them $0.02 in state taxes!

And wanted my checking account info so I could pay it!

I suppose I could just write them a check and spend $0.41 on a stamp...

If poor, poor b'Tim b'Kaine needs the money that badly...

...and I b'voted for him!

Well, I suppose it's all of our dreams to get our $0.02 worth in on the guv'mint...

Going back to Webbie World...no b'taxes...

...yet.

I've wondered when they're going to start taxing our KC holdings.

And our "investments" in rares.

Ah well....here's the rundown on today's haul. I hadn't though about the "economic stimulus package" providing some extra Webkinz dough, but DH asked yesterday how much of the tax refund I had earmarked to spend on my addiction!

--------------------------------

I’ll preface this by saying that I had no plans to buy more series 1, but the store had only one pack of series two left, so I thought I’d try for KC, coupons, and possible trading fodder. Once I get my taxes done, I’ll treat myself to a box of Series 2 from the online vendor posted earlier!

Series 2: One pack

1 card, 2 codes

One Gamer’s Garden Dining Table (YES!)
One WShop shopping spree: Head in the Clouds desk (sigh)

Series 1: 6 packs

2 singles
2 – 2 codes
2 – 3 codes

FYI—three foil cards, two doodles & one Curio Shop Curiosity, for those who wonder about the paper versions.

Singles:
Trading Card Theme Dresser
Quizzy TCG poster

Doubles:
640 KC
325 KC
Wishing Well TCG Poster
Trading Card Desk

Triples:
145 KC
Thoughtful Think Tank (Kooky Scientist)
Groceries
WShop outfit
321 KC
225 KC

Notes:

6 VTC TC1 packs, only one Curio Shop Card (a duplicate), no Doodlez. All the rest were duplicates. L This pretty much mimics what everyone has said in the past, the last two series one prizes are nearly impossible to unlock without spending a fortune, having gone through another 20 packs or so with no change.
This makes the third batch (6-10 packs at a time) in a row of Series 1 that I have not received a single Classic Game Room theme piece—and though I’ve won nearly every other piece in that theme, the sofa, bed, and clock still have not shown up.

This is the fifth Kooky Scientist item I’ve received without duplicate, the others were the Manic Monitor, Robo Handy Table, Ultimate Experiment Station, and Clock of the Future (from various mixed boxes of cards). I had never planned on collecting this set, though DH wanted & traded for a Thoughtful Think Tank already, but when these started coming in, I began a room for them, and that room has become one of my favorites. This Think Tank will go into my new Museum of Webkinz Science & Industry.

I’ve come to really hate the TCG themes from both series! They don’t trade well because there’s so many more of them available than the Classic Game & Gamer’s Garden themes, both of which are so much more attractive, and of course they don’t sell well to the W-Shop. What on earth was GANZ thinking when they designed these two? And why don't they include chairs with desks???? Grrrrr........

So did I reach my goal in buying this batch? Nope, not much trading fodder, cash is relatively low, and no 50%+ off coupons. Not the most profitable batch I've ever opened. But it's nice to finally have another piece of the Gamer's Garden Theme....only the second I've received.

Love the Museum of Science and Industry!

I often say I work in the Museum of Antique Office Technology...

I unlocked the VTC codes from 12 of my TC Is just to see...

...and got one more base card (still need the 28!) and a whole sled pile of duplicates! Still have to unlock a single collectors prize from the TC Is!!!!

Havent unlocked and of the prize codes...yet.

Hold what you got...I finally grew enough sense to start holding on to stuff for when I become eligible to trade on here...

Remember my name...and I shall remember yours!
