I've seen a few of these pop up on ebay, but haven't read anywhere what they were for. One of the ebay listings stated that they thought it was a color test print from the Gantz factory - but weren't sure. | | | 04-09-2008, 05:35 PM | #42 | i am chatty Gifted Join Date: Sep 2007 Posts: 40,293 | Re: Comparison Of Code Cards In Tc 1.0 And 2.0. Another Grandma here......I used to say I am doing it to help the kids as they are still young and learning.......that however quickly changed!!!
The kids live next door but are here more than at home and I have been very ill and confined to bed for the most part and it is really a stress reliever and great companionship! With all of the frustrations in WW right now, WI certainly lightens things!
I haven't done percentages tho, altho that is quite interesting. I have lost count on how many boxes of cards we have gotten at this point!
---------- pblavelle added 3 Minutes and 6 Seconds later ----------
I did get the AC bed and side table along with that statue thingy with series 2 trading cards. That was in 2 boxes, but have got nothing else since. Last edited by pblavelle; 04-09-2008 at 05:51 PM.. Tpyo, Miss Spots, pblavelle, et al,
Isn't this fun? And isn't it fun to be old enough to absolutely not to give a rip? <LOL!>
Yep, I was intrigued by the 22/8/4/2 theorum and, Excel Goddess that I am, the tracking was just the next step!
I've been diligently tracking the code prizes from my last box of TC IIs, but have been TRYING to pace myself and not eat them all at once, so I still have a few left.
So far I do know that the doubles do not seem to be the gold mines of unique items they were with the TC Is.
I also know this box of IIs has not yielded the amount of Gamer's Garden pieces the first (untracked) box did. (grrrrr, I'm working on one is how I know!)
BUT my Bengal Tiger, Bruce Li is sporting a Rockin' Mohawk, my raccoon Martha Stewart is working a Marie Antoinette periwig (when she is not wearing her chef's hat in the kitchen cooking up this plethora of newly unlocked recipes!) and my black cat Will is starting to worry me a bit because he has grown a bit toooooo fond of that Carmen Miranda fruity head-dress.
In fact, when he put it on, he decalred, "These clothes are FABulous!"
Oh well, my friends tell me all boys go through this stage...
...and I love him whatever he decides to do!
One more thing...tpyo, I thought at first you had suffered a senior moment and was showing us a picture of your latest quilt.
Which is lovely, by the way...nice handwork. | | | 04-09-2008, 06:37 PM | #45 | i am chatty Gifted Join Date: Sep 2007 Posts: 40,293 | Re: Comparison Of Code Cards In Tc 1.0 And 2.0. hi aunt mary.... from my new box of cards i too, got the mowhawk which is also on my begal tiger...namaste... i had previously gotten one in another box and i guess for now, that is the only way other than the super wheel, that we will get them, as they never show in the curios shop. i have also gotten alot of the wizard clothing.... which is absolutely adorable.
i am pacing my self with this box too. i am going to post the coded card amounts and also the number of different actual cards are in the box.
i think this is fun and really gives me a chance to challenge the brain and keep it active. | | | 04-09-2008, 07:18 PM | #46 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 153 | Re: Comparison Of Code Cards In Tc 1.0 And 2.0. Aunt Mary--THANK YOU for the breakdown on what you actually received from the cards. It's really interesting to know what others have gotten from them. I need to go back to actually tracking!
Today's batch of 10 TC1s yielded about 1000 KC when all was said & done--between the actual KC awarded, the "what not to wear" clothes (gotta love it!), and a studio, all sold back to the W Shop.
Cards broke down into:
1 - Four codes
2 - Two codes
7 - Single codes
No discernible pattern to what I got with which card, as usual.
Other items:
One solved recipe (Halloweenogg)
one bag of groceries
Two sets of coupons--2 70%, 1 50%, 1 30%, the rest Bingoz.
TC1 theme:
Clock
Desk
Dragster poster (which I needed to re-collect as I pulled mine to a new location & broke up the set)
Zingoz poster
The VTCs helped me unlock the top two of the four big prizes.....I don't even want to know how many card packs I've bought to get that far! I did pull most of the Classic Game theme, a ton of TC1 theme, and about 2/3 of the Kooky Scientist theme during my quest to unlock those prizes, so I can't complain too much, but it can be really frustrating to get "93 Kinzcash" or a batch of unwanted clothes over and over again.
I'm so ready to start with TC2 instead now that my local store doesn't have buy 1/get 1 going any longer on TC1. My last three batches of TC1s haven't had anything really interesting on them, other than some decent KC amounts--not even anything really tradeable.
I'll be keeping an eye on this thread to see what else you come up with! | | | 04-09-2008, 08:04 PM | #47 | hut? Mighty Moolitia Gifted Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 5,319 | Re: Comparison Of Code Cards In Tc 1.0 And 2.0. Man, Kayakinz! It sounds like you did pretty well with your purely scientific research sampling of 10 packs!
I'm no probablity geek, but considering there are 22 singles in a 36 pack box and you managed to score a quad(!) and a couple of doubles...well, if you are of age and it is legal in your state, you may want to consider playing the lottery soon!
I hear you on the 93 dollars KinzCash. I did go into a mini unlocking binge the other night, trying to justify buying a bowling alley when we live in what is basically government subsidized housing in WW and do not currently have a room big enough to put it in...
But at least when we win cheese for the KinzCare award, they do not specify that it is government cheese!
I also have collected quite a bit from the "what not to wear" collection and entirely too much run-of-the-mill W-Mart furniture.
I send the furniture to my nieces who live in palatial mansions (across the WW tracks from us) for their themed rooms and am hoarding the clothes for a big ole yard sale as soon as we're sure the weather will be nice...
I do love getting my W-Mart coupons, tho! Throw one down on something you want that's already on sale....ooooh baby! Cha-ching! I got a pond for my Gamer's Garden the other weekend for 169 KC!
Oh, btw...here's Will...y'all don't think I should be too concerned, do you? | | | 04-09-2008, 09:15 PM | #48 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 153 | Re: Comparison Of Code Cards In Tc 1.0 And 2.0. That Will....hmmm.....looks like HE needs to go on What Not to Wear.
But who am I to talk? We have a male pink pony named Cheese (from the cartoon Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends). I caught him in full rain gear the other day--indoors. He's also played with the fruit hat. And my husband dresses his three as a viking, a pirate, and a camo/cowboy/centurion. He has no taste in clothes in real life either!
Believe it or not, the bowling alley fits in the "sponsored" housing of the medium room. That's where I put mine. And let me tell you, TCs make you more money than that blankety blank alley ever will! Someone calculated the time to profit after expenses on that one when it was up a few days ago (about 14-15 KC per game), and it was pretty ridiculous. But it looks really cool.....
Hey, if I win the lottery, I can get more Kinz, right? I think I'll settle for some TC2s instead, my odds are a bit tiny better.! | | | 04-09-2008, 09:19 PM | #49 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 121 | Re: Comparison Of Code Cards In Tc 1.0 And 2.0. Hey, if I win the lottery, I can get more Kinz, right? I think I'll settle for some TC2s instead, my odds are a bit tiny better.! i was never really impressed with the bowling alley. i bought it from the curio shop and after playing a few games, i was so frustrated, that i sent it to my grandson. at first it was you use it for a week, then send it back and i will use it for a week..so forth and so on, but i got so like duh, that i just gave it to him.
when i get the multiples on the cards i send the extra item to the grandkids so their mom doesn't have to buy a huge amount of cards. i have almost fully comepleted the trading card theme for series 2, and have gotten al ot of the gamers theme also. i actually have only bought 5 boxes of series 2, and have been pleased with what i have gotten. if i get those w-shop items, i just sell them back if i don't want thema nd the grandkids don't need them.
the money prizes are less in comparison to tc series one.... plus there are no coupons and i liked them emensely, but the trade off is unlocking the virtual prizes a bit faster. out of the five boxes... i have unlocked the full set of prizes on my main account and now need only 4 at paw level cards to complete the virtual set in my secondary account. | | | | | | Tags | ?:o, ???, adnap lacitsym, cheekylove was here, crinkle on!, crinkling? wat's that???, dudeness was here, forrichpeopleonly, heart891011 was here, i love kinzcoin wuz here, kevinelevin was here!, lanawas here!, mintchip luvsdacrinkle, miss spots rocks!, mystical panda, mystical panda backward, no crinkling allowed!, pigsrockoutloud, raggle saggle, squirrel <3 tcg, t.t.tawnypup, tee hee ninja me, wrong | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
