So the best local resource I have been able to find for Webkinz items was a florist shop that is a $10/hour long train ride outside of my city. Fortunately I LOVE train rides... I bought just about everything they had.

What was shocking to me is they had the Webkinz bracelet and necklace, but no charms!

The owner told me charms had been discontinued because they were found to have lead in them?!?! Is that true?!?

It mustn't be true because I see that the Partner Store still sells them...

So what's the deal with charms?!

There was a rumor going around that the Webkinz charms contained toxic levels of lead, but this was proved to be false. Webkinz charms do not contain toxic lead. The charms were never "recalled" and there is no danger in wearing them as jewelery. --FIA

there was some talk about the lead issue. not long after it started, the charms seemed to go byebye from the store shelves. i think there are still some places that get them, but other than those few places, i haven't seen them anywhere.

Someone had found lead in them. Not a bad amount, put apparently they were taken off store shelves. You can still buy them online though.

There was a false rumor about toxic levels of lead in the charms, but it was wrong. They are safe! My local store told me about how they almost put there charms on sale too!

There was a Not True Rumor about them having lead..I would just buy them online!
