I got my first 3 ornaments!!!!

A very nice friend of mine
used my “system” to select three ornaments.
She gave me one from group B,
one from group C, and one from group D.

Would you give her a shout out?
I can’t thank her enough!

The first thing I noticed when my webbie “bumped” into the new tree was that when the decorating interface opened, I heard the sound of jingle bells. Now doesn’t that get you into the Christmas mood?

Next, I took a look at the catalog.
And to my surprise, I discovered what many have asked ….
… Which of the virtual decorations are animated?
Well, I have your answer.
all the tree toppers
plus the two garlands that are strings of lights
and the Glittering Gems base

When you look at the catalog, you can see that all the toppers are animated.

Classic Christmas Topper –

The star floats, rotates, and glitters.

Festive Flake Topper –

The snowflake floats and sparkles. Snow dust/powder puffs around.

Webkinz World Topper –

The magic W floats up and down. Gold “magic” swirls around the W.

Puppy Angel Topper –

The puppy’s angle wings flutter; pixie dust falls; and the puppy gently pushes off of the cloud, floats up, and then back down.

Star Challenge Topper –

The fairy floats above the star collector’s carousel and flutters her wings. The carousel rotates.

Snow Globe Topper –

I’ve watched this one for a while expecting it to do more but all I can see it that a small amount of snow is falling in the snow globe.

Crown of Wonder Topper –

I had to watch this one carefully also to see what it does. The crown sparkles. The gems turn on and off like Christmas lights. It is very subtle.

Merry Monarchs Topper –

Five Monarch Butterflies fly around.

Rascally Raccoon Topper –

The raccoon hides behind the star; peaks out, laughs, and ducks back behind the star; and pops out, looks around, waves, and hides again. (This is the one I have so I’ll post some more pics. This is how I discovered the animation. When I looked in the catalog at the Rascally Raccoon Topper, there wasn’t a raccoon. I didn’t know what could have happened to him but then he popped his head out and I was relieved.)

In my opinion, the Rascally Raccoon Topper is the best! It’s the only one with a surprise. (I'm sorry if I ruined your surprise.) The one I like next is the Merry Monarchs Topper. It is the most unique and for my real world tree I have 10 butterfly ornaments that are on wires. The wires are hard to see so that the butterflies appear to be flying above the branches. So I’m partial to the Merry Monarchs Topper.

None of the other virtual decorations show any animation in the catalog, but when I put my Colorful Christmas Lighting garland on my tree, the lights turn off and on. (That is the garland with colored lights.) Webberlily confirms that the Luxurious Lighting garland does the same. (That is the garland with white lights.) My six virtual ornaments do nothing and my Kinzville Christmas base does nothing. But it’s still very cute. Webberlily also confirms that none of the virtual ornaments are animated, none of the other garlands and the only base to be animated is Glittering Gems. It sparkles.

When you first put in an ornament code, you will get this message with a pic of the ornament that the code came with:

This is how the tree looks in your dock.

And this is how the tree looks when you first put it in your room:

Then, when your webbie walks over and “bumps” the tree, the tree-decorating interface opens.
At this point, I only have a garland and 2 ornaments but no topper or base.
So the topper and base widgets are not activated.

Well then, I decorate my tree and it looks good but I need more decorations.(Notice that here, the lights are on.)

So, I’m off to the code shop to put in my next code. And I get the same message as before but the picture changes to the ornament that came with this second code. I don't get another tree. But when I bump into my tree, I have more decorations to choose from. After 3 total codes, I have 6 virtual ornaments, and one each of a base, garland, and topper. Here is a close up of what my tree looks like now. (Notice here that the lights are off and the raccoon is waveing.)

Hi Wilbbelily I was so inspierd by your thread that had to get all the ornaments - total cost $148.89 - to bad we could not get more than one tree so we could show off all the diffrent ways we can decortate them. Oh by the way the fire place has a real fire in it so cool.

Thanks for the great info--I will take the wonderful spreadsheet shopping with me, and I will be able to pick ornaments for my grandchildren's accounts and know they will love them. It will be fun to pick ornaments for my own accounts too!
