They're very quick so you can remember them in the Trading Room very easily. PLEASE check out the WONDERFUL guide that WI has provided for us at this link--->Webkinz Insider Gift Exchange Value (WIGEV) Guide - Webkinz Insider Wiki
Tip 1
Never... EVER send something in KinzPost no matter how tempting it is if you don't know the person and if they mention it then get ready to exit out! I have lost items through this and I don't wan to see more members losing items through this too!! D:
Tip 2
Check value on WI first if you don't think you know the value. Here's the link--->Webkinz Insider Gift Exchange Value (WIGEV) Guide - Webkinz Insider Wiki
Tip 3
Never go for I'll "BORROW" this item and then "SEND" it back unless you know the person otherwise they never do... :/
Tip 4
NEVER trade for an item that you don't know about. It can end up as food!
Tip 5
Never go for "My sisters quitting Webkinz so whoever gives me the best item can have her account". I've never done it myself but I've seen and met people who have gotten ripped off by these people. Or people try to have you trade for "Pet Codes" by saying for example "I have a black lab for trade... who wants it? I need Wacky Jeans for it." and some people do it! Its crazy! So try to avoid this or please spread word about it!
Tip 6
Never go for "My parents got a divorce..." (or anything like this) and then they'll probably start talking about it. And then at the last minute they'll ask for example "I really need plumpy glasses and wacky jeans..." And then they'll act all sad usually. PLEASE do NOT go for this.. this is their way of getting items..
Tip 7
Never go for the people who say that they'll tell you a secret or give you a secret code...this often turns out that you trade and get scammed and then they laugh at you. I've seen this happen and almost fell for it!! This is NOT made up, people do this EVERYDAY!
Tips from other WI Members

Of course not. Then why do you trust someone you have never met, don't know anything about, and will probably never meet? It doesn't make sense to me.
I meet all kinds in the trading room. Sometimes it's just little kids wanting to trade something. When they put up food, I put up food. Then trade. No big deal. They are happy, and you can live with yourself. If someone is trying to scam or cheat, I will tell them so, and then say good-bye. There is no sense arguing with them, because they just don't get it and probably never will. Also, if someone shows me a clothes item that was made in the style outlet and says that it is kinz style or rare retired items I say the item name of what it is and that no it can be made (sometime I tell the recipe) so that maybe someone else who is watching my conversation will not fall for it either. That may just work... Originally Posted by webkinzlover122 If someone says "I'm the only one who has this item!" then you say "Oh I have that item at my house! It's really cool!" Then X out. (this happened to me tip 1)
TIP: Don't get talked out of the scam. Some people will be so nice to you, and even after the trade they still will, so you feel like you got their trust. Example: Say they traded something that they had that was their favorite item. The scammer might even say: I'm going to help you get that item back, I'll have it by tomorrow. Then they added me as a friend and then they said they had to go eat lunch a few minutes later, and then once they left, I was removed from their friend list and I never saw that person again.
NEVER FALL FOR THIS, NO MATTER HOW NICE THE PERSON IS, DO NOT GET TALKED OUT OF A SCAM. Originally Posted by km7dragon Nice tips! I've seen a lot of people get scammed.
I have a tip, don't go for the 'Today is my birthday! Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee send me a present! I didn't get any from my friends. ' Its most likely a scam, if you want you can send food though. Also, usually the poor thing is a scam too. Originally Posted by JustDad Two points I haven't seen mentioned:

Trying to 'rush a deal' in fear of losing it is setting yourself up for problems.
Their is a bug that scammers may be able to exploit (it has happened between my kids when they have been trading with each other so it can also happen randomly) where the person you are trading with gets your object and they keep their object.
When an object is removed the image may still show up on the other persons trade window - not only that but it is possible to 'complete' the trade.
That said - it only seems to be possible when the happy/sad isn't set (i.e. both are grey). If the the person rushes to 'trade' if you remove and replace the object that you plan to trade and make sure you have set the happy / sad and then click trade you seem to be safe from this glitch.

A Way To Remember This
If you do need to remember this badly then try putting this in your email or on your wall.. in a Word document and bring it up when you go into the Trading Room. Don't worry if its hard to remember then just keep coming back here! It won't be gone.. it might close if no one posts in more than 2 weeks but the thread will always be here!(:
Remember ALWAYS BE SAFE IN !
Now my friend Sunnypup20 can tell you something about her experiences.

I'm SunnyPup20, and here's what I think about Scammers:
TIP 1:
Never Trade Unless your Sure you want the item and know what it is!
Tip 1:
Check WI GEV. They have Years, values, and all the things you need to know about an Item!
Tip 3:
Never fall for the fwolloing:
"I'll send!"
"I have it at home!"
"It's SOOOOO Rare, I'm the ONLY one who has it!"
"Oh, It's an awesome item. Brand new!"
"Oh, It's a New Estore item"
Tip 4:
If u have a friend w/ u, ask her/his opion. If u know somone in the Clubhouse and the room, ask them.
Tip 5:
I would suggest you DON'T trade with people who have "bad repuations" Espically if people always say that they got ripped off by the person. Also, if somone says "I've Scammed someome before, it was GREAT!" and, If someone has a bunch of people feeling sorry for them, and is whining and complaining they got scammed, don't belive em'. They might be lieing and got a croup 2ther to help them!
Have fun in the Clubhouse, just follow these tips, and you'll NEVER be scammed again!
Be Safe! Have Fun! Play Wild!
(I have been scammed b4, and it DOESN'T feel good. And make sure YOU don't scam someone. Its just plain wrong and selfish. I have had friends @ skool who've gotten scammed, and they were sad..... Remember, scamming isn't fun play. It's not a way to get items. It's a way to get urself a "Reputation" and probaly never get trades if the newz spreads) __________________ Did you know whenever you laugh, I laugh? Did you know whever you smile, I smile?
