I gave up my prom dress maybe thinking i could get Retired Christmas items for it. Then a reindeer said "i'm giving up my account so i'm trying to get rid of everything". then they put a rare item. then i felt sorry for them. we pushed trade and i got the item. we said thanks.

Could someone tell me if it is a real scam. i put the rare item in a storage room. I still have the same item today.

Totally a scam

I have seen people like this, and they do NOT give up their account

They have been on my friends list and they were on ALL the time

So basically, you were scammed

yes you were scammmed. no matter what...DO NOT feel sorry for anybody! because most of the time this is a scam! if they are being truthful about being sad, it doesnt matter, even if they are sad or begging or giving up their account it doesnt mean you should give them special treatment! watch out next time! good luck trading safely!

Oh, no! I would think if they were trying to get rid of things, they would have given you several items, and not taken such an item from you! I am guessing...scam. So sorry to hear about it!

I guess I am confused...why would someone be trading if they are "giving up" their account? So on that note it sounds like a scam. However, I would say it depends on what you got (I am not asking you to tell the specific) I think some rare items would totally be worth a prom dress.
