Trading, ahh. Beautiful, rare, retired items. STOP! Heres what I have been thinking about!

We all trade, its what we do. Some don't, but don't most of us? I know even I do. But think. All these awesome items had to come from somewhere, you know? Many of us trade to get "rare" items. Such as Plumpy's Glasses, Wacky Jeans, and more. But what makes them rare? They aren't sold in a virtual store anymore? Thats right, it is virtual and if you have seen any other threads you know very well, people will do anything for virtual items! I am not putting eStore on the spot, sure you spend money someone worked for, but in webkinz, people put up great items for something 3/4 years ago, manny people lived with out! Think about it. . .

This is what we used to/ are meant to think of these items. I would love me some plumpy glasses, sure! But seriously, think about what people trade for some thing someone could sell for 10 kinz cash? Give a little thought to this.

the sell back to the wshop value of the item has no bearing as you know. it is in what people will give for it. just because plumpys are worth 10 kc, don't expect to trade it for 10 kc food! lol. we don't always know what will rise in values. look at cheeky dog and cheeky cat! moo bars, as you said wacky jeans, lavas. who knows what will be the next hot item.
one thing is sure the old items will keep increasing in value as long as ganz doesn't make a replica of it

I'm one of those rare people that doesn't get into the trading, lol. To be honest with you, I don't really even like the Plumpy glasses. I just buy what I like, and what I think looks good in the themes of my rooms. I think it's fine that some people like to trade, and I can understand how that can be fun, but I find it a lot less stressful to avoid the trading experience. Just my own feelings.

Yes, I know but they're rare because these things are now retired. I was a Year 2 member so I used to have Plumpy. Very few people did WW in the beginning so that's what makes the Wacky Jeans and White Ears and so on so special [:

Just goes to show how people are different : )

I hardly ever decorate rooms anymore, unless it's for a contest or some specific reason. For me the fun of Webkinz is in the trading : )
I love the thrill of the hunt; I like helping people get what they need; I enjoy looking for things to surprise my friends with as gifts.
I have rooms and rooms and rooms just full of stuff; for me the fun is in cataloguing and arranging it all and searching for those elusive "big ticket" items hardly anyone has.

Isn't it great we belong to a site where we both can have a blast?
We are able to meet like-minded friends, and hang out in our different areas of interest.
