Not only have I seen people try this technique to gain the sympathy of traders, I have seen them ask for a 'Birthday gift.' Because it is their birthday. Just for those people I ALWAYS have a Clown Hat, Balloon and a Birthday cake handy. Only one has ever accepted it, graciously I have also seen 'pets' who were just 'Cry, Cry, Cry' and they were saying that they had to get a certain item because thier parents would be mad at them for having traded it away. I have seen a lot of stuff going on in there and you have to 'go with your gut,' on a lot of it. If it FEELS suspicious, it probably is.

My seven year old got scammed out of a couple of her favorite exclusive items. It makes me very sad that there are adults out there playing and preying on the children that the site is intended for. I am not saying that adults should not play, I have two of my own webkinz and know it is for the whole family. I am only saying that the kids don't deserve to be hurt by adults who are tricky and mean. My daughter cried for the entire night and was so scared to play again. thanks for listening.

Thank you so much Dixie! I really was concerned when I kept on hearing so many people getting scammed. I thought of all I could do to help everyone.
