Default Re: A Guide to Scammers in the Trading Room in Webkinz World - How to tell if someone is a Scammer and What to do if you find One

Oh, that is possible for some new Webkinz members! Most of scammers are older WW members and are adults. That Whimsy Dragon probably was a younder kid, but I will add your Post to the first post for some people to know!

I'm not sure why you think the scammers are adults. I have a lot of experience with trading card games. In that environment most of the scammers are teenagers. Sometimes young adults as well, but the games I play have a generally older player base than WW. I am fairly sure that the scammers are primarily teenagers.

I didn't clearly say "all scammers are adults"... I said that in my opinion, I just would think that most of them would be adults. Teenagers can DEFINETLY be possible scammers!

Well, I'm glad you haven't gotten scammed yet! Maybe next time you trade you can say something like "I want to trade Clothes" or "I want to trade Food" or whatever you have available to trade

This is excalty what we needed!!!! Perfect job!

I would like to add:

You should always try to keep a tab on what room you are in before you exit. If something happens to go wrong, you know not to return there.

Also, you can block your friends request, so if are afraid a scammer will follow you, you can block them and not become buddies.

I faced someone who was begging for my Frosty Snow Machine. They were like "Please! I don't have any good items, please!" I decided to leave extra case it's a scam. Anyone else have this happened to them?

something that happened to me was a to teamed scam, first won person wanted me to give them a really rare item for a not so rare item, so i said no and left, then the second scammer said that they needed that item really bad and would give me a super rare item for it, so i traded the other guy, and then the second guy left. the items were

the first scammer a Jellybean tree For my blue lava lamp
the second trader offered, a love puppy couch

:-(
