For this reason I have tried to watch for patterns when I have found it easiest to complete worth while trades... in other words, those times when traders have reasonably good stuff (such as exclusive, PSI, rare & retired items) and are willing to complete 'fair trades'. In the following table I have attempted to consolidate the information so far. Monday to Friday- 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM (Especially KC+)
- 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM (Especially KC)
Saturday & SundayAlso I have noticed that 'color' also seems to make a difference:Best Colors: Light Blue, Green, Pink Have you observed any patterns? My hope is that by sharing our observations we can make the best times even better by encouraging more 'fair traders' to visit during these times! If you would rather fill in a poll than post your observations I have started the folloing two polls:Worst Times to Trade Best Times to Trade If this thread keeps going as more feedback is received I will keep the above consolidated recommendations current as well as flagging special events (like March Break) which may affect the pattern. One thing I have observed is that the pattern does shift over time, for example, before Christmas Friday Evenings & Saturday Mornings were great but now their terrible. I am not sure if this is seasonal or due to a shift in membership so I'll keep watching. ******* Best Times: Sun 7 pm to 11 pm, Mon to Fri 8 am to 10 am, Mon to Fri 2 pm to 4 pm Worst: Sat & Sun 11 am to 3 pm Patterns have seemed strongest in KC but also seem to apply to KC+ (in KC+ the effect seems to be more 'attitude' changes - during the 'worst times' traders still have good stuff but many more try scams like 'bait and switch'). Suggested by JustDad ******* Mon to Thurs - 6 am to 2 pm ... the best times to go trading with serious, responsible, nice and fair traders ... ... if you have a day off or a snow/day off then you may want to consider these times ... Suggested by Waffles ******* Weekday Mornings KC+ ... if you have some really good stuff ... ... you mostly deal with veterans who have just about everything ... Weekday Afternoons KC ... full of surprises ... if not looking for anything specific ... Suggested by LittleHattie ******* Mon to Fri - 8 am to 10 am ... weekday are soooo much better than at night or on the weekends ... ... (traders) know value and look for fair trades (and) have more stuff ... Suggested by spendergast5 ******* WORST: Monday 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm ... first day of the week ... kids get the MOST homework ... and emotional stuff tends to happen on Mondays at school .. ... I assume kids use the TR ... to let their anger explode. Suggested by wowewe ******* Saturday: 7 PM to 11 PM ... trading rooms are PACKED Saturday night ... ... fewer people Sunday night ... seems to be more rude traders ... It's crucial I don't spend too much time bickering with other webkinz about what's fair and I want to get the most out of my time. I've noticed on Mondays - Thursdays at 6am to 2pm are the best times to go trading with serious, responsible, nice and fair traders. Most likely because their adults and not scamming little kids. Granted you can't go on if you have school but if you have a day off or a snow/day off then you may want to consider these times as the best for you. Keep in mind snow days are good but not the best. Chances are if you're school is closed for a snow day so are others so it might get a bit hectic. | | | 03-16-2010, 12:13 AM | #3 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Feb 2010 Posts: 180 | Re: What Time is Best to Visit the Trading Room? It depends what are you looking for. If you have some really good staff and know what are you looking for then mornings at KC plus are good . You mostly deal with veterans who have just about everything and if you offer them a good deal you will get what you want. Afternoons are fool of surprises. And if you are not looking for anything specific then it is the best time do to KC. Great thread! I agree with M-F 8am-10am if you are able to make it.
I think anytime during the weekday is soooo much better than at night or on the weekends. The traders weekdays are usually adults and know value and look for fair trades. And I agree with LittleHattie- people during the day have more stuff | | | 03-17-2010, 02:10 PM | #5 | Gifted Join Date: Dec 2008 Posts: 48,263 | Re: BEST Times to Visit TRADE ROOM What I have experienced as the WORST time is Monday right after school, 4:30ish-6. It is the first day of the week, the day when kids get the MOST homework, and emotional stuff tends to happen on Mondays at school. I assume that kids use the TR as a place to let their anger explode. | | | 03-17-2010, 03:08 PM | #6 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Mar 2009 Posts: 343 | Re: BEST Times to Visit TRADE ROOM I would actually replace Sunday from 7 PM to 11 PM with Saturday from 7 PM to 11 PM. The trading rooms are always PACKED Saturday night because there's no school the next day. However, not only are fewer people there on Sunday night, but there also seems to be more of the rude traders since they are older, and therefore either stay up later (despite the fact it's a school night) or they don't even have school the next day (college students, young adults, etc). | | | 03-18-2010, 01:45 AM | #7 | Gift Guru Join Date: Aug 2009 Posts: 23,935 | Re: BEST Times to Visit TRADE ROOM Thanks so much for making this thread! It's going to be really helpful when I go into the trading room. I find it amazingly dumb how all the scammers think they can get away with these things... and the worst thing is.... they can! With this schedule though,we'll probably be able to avoid them more and trade happier with nice traders! | | | 03-18-2010, 10:33 AM | #8 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Oct 2009 Posts: 372 | Re: BEST Times to Visit TRADE ROOM I have noticed that 'color' also seems to make a difference: Best Colors: Light Blue, Green, Pink The reason that 'dark blue' is the worst makes sense to me since if you don't select a color then the most likely color you get put in is 'dark blue' but I have no idea why Yellow seems to be worse than the other three. | | | 03-21-2010, 02:08 PM | #9 | Think Pink~ Gift Guru Join Date: Nov 2008 Posts: 6,777 | Re: BEST Times and Colors in TRADE ROOM Thanks for some very helpful info!
