I just logged on at 8:58 p.m. Kinz Time, trying to buy the rare globe. Even though the items in the Curio Shop still showed the 8:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. selection, I was unable to buy the globe. I was able to click on the globe to select it for purchase, and then the confirmation of sale balloon showed. But then when I tried to buy it, a balloon popped up which said "sorry, the sale is over."

Although it was close to the ending time, iif the item was still in the shop, and the Kinz time still showed a couple of minutes before the hour, I think I should have been able to buy it.

was the acutal time after 9? if so even if the KT is before 9 i won't allow you to buy the item

It's not the point of what your account clock showed but was it right; going in to certain areas of the site and doing certain things will mess with the clock -- so if the clock was not showing the correct time for whatever reason then it was past time or whatever to buy the item. I keep an eye on my clock on the computer as well as the kinz clock to make sure I have time to log out and back in to reset the clock to the right time when this happens.
