Hey Everyone! Welcome to the official Easter thread! Here you can post Easter Traditions, Recipes, graphics, and just about anything Easter related!
Easter is always on the first Sunday of April. So the dates vary. This year Easter is on April 4th.
I want to give a special shout out to Toothache, Toothache's birthday is on the same day as Easter! Happy Early Birthday Toothache!

Here I'll post some traditions! You can post some of yours and I'll put them here!

Every year, the day before Easter, my brother and I will make Easter Egg cakes. They are cakes that are in the shape of an egg and we will decorate them with colored icing, and lots of candy! Then the next morning me and my brother will have them for breakfast. (Posted by me)

Every Easter morning we will have an Easter egg hunt with me and my brother. Than later we will go over to my grandmas houses after lunch and have dinner, a cousin-wide Easter egg hunt, and play with my cousins! (Posted by me)

The night before easter, we take a bunch of peeps and put them into the microwave. When the air deflates out of one of the peeps, it is out. The last peep standing wins! (Posted by jjrrss10 )

Every easter we go to the longest easter mass ever!!

then we go to my great aunts house (which i believe is haunted) we eat there with all my cousins then we go to my second cousin's house and egg hunt there. finally we go back to my aunts house and party late into the night! so much fun!!!! (Posted by pirateluver034)

A tradition my family has is painting/dyeing/coloring Easter eggs the day before Easter.

My Easter Traditions-
When I wake up in the morning, I go into my kitchen and my parents give me my Easter basket that has candy and usually a present inside.

i luv Easter since i have bunnies now (: (2 years this year) when I'm home on Easter they hop around on my yard.also we do eggs with eye-balls on them and also rainbow eggs (2 colors),and we always do and egg in 3 colors and call it a mystery egg (: (Posted by cheekybernard)

My Easter traditions:
One of my grandma's friends (who passed away, RIP) always used to buy my two brothers and I HUGE chocolate bunnies the day before Easter and we used to buy some melting chocolate to and make our own chocolate molds and stuff...

Also, on Easter morning, when we come down stairs (even though we're kinda old now, haha) our dad always hides our Easter baskets around the house and we go find them. Most of the time they are hidden in really hard places, too! (Posted by Julia-Gulia)

for Easter, my cousin comes over to my grandmas and grandpas house (there house is next doors to ours) and we get Easter baskets to go hunting for easter eggs, and in those baskets are candy and usually a gift. then, we go hunt for eggs! (Posted by Luree611)

oh my gosh my uncle died on easter too!

what we usually do is have an easter egg hunt (even though every kid in the house are teenagers. xD) and we go to my grandma's house and have dinner there and hold an easter egg hunt for kids sometimes. (Posted by petlover02)

for easter, me and my sister use easter eggs and do a mini easter egg hunt! (we put weirdo objects inside-- buttons, candy paper, and sometimes---nothing!!!) (Posted by holie07)

My traditions:

i get up in the morning and go on the dining room where my mom and or dad will be with our easter baskets full of candy and a bigger present or more for me,a webbie(but i saw my sister eying a peace puppy when i was renting a movie so i think she mite get it).then grandma stops by and gives us more candy.we pretty much relax most of easter and eat almost all of the candy!!!! -as you can probably tell(points to avvie <<<) we dye easter eggs(my dad dips the egg in every color,making a mud egg)

-we make baskets ofr people with little money(its fun )

-on easter eve we go to easter eve mass. its so pretty,its dark and then they hand a candle then lights 1 perosn candle on each side of the room and when they are done they put their candles next to the other persons to light it,when everyone's candles had been lighted,they church is filled with a pretty glow. Here is where some Easter coloring pages will be, you can print them out and color them or fill them in on paint! These are fun to color, and look really nice and festive when done. They could easily be taped on a door to make a cute banner!

This one looks really nice when done, I did try to color it on paint, it does work.

You guys can post some stuff here to! I'll try to find more.

Thanks for posting! That'd be great! I might post about the history, if anybody would like to tell the story. I'm not very good at telling stories on the history of any holiday. xD
