How should I get over my crazy fear?

Hi! I need some help getting over my crazy fear. I know this is weird, but I have the WORST fear of ladybugs. They creep me out and I have night mares about them. I've also some how gotten it into my head that they want to eat and hurt me. I really don't know whats up with me, but I've had this fear for about two years, and it has gotten worse. Ladybugs invade my bathroom that I bathe in, so recently my fear has gotten so bad I have to bathe in a tiny bath in another bathroom. My brothers even make fun of my fear. Does anyone know a way I can get over this fear?

Ladybugs are supposed to bring good luck, not scare people. I'm sorry, but I don't know how to help you. I like ladybugs, but when I was young one peeed on me, so I have been a bit terrified about holding them because I'm afraid they'll do it again. I will tell you if I find something really good to help you overcome your fear.

Yeah, both my mom and I have had ladybugs bite us before... I'm kinda scared of them, too, just because they fly around so much. My best advice is to remember that you're bigger than they are. The next time you see one, take a shoe and squish it. That'll make you feel a little more confident about them.

Hmm..quite the odd fear, here. But no worries. they're scared of you and just try and avoid them anytime you see 'em.

Well, I would just try to think of them as a cute little bug, like this: cartoon%20ladybug.gif

Plus, ladybugs are considered good luck. Make a wish when you see one. Ladybugs are even helpful. Farmers use them to control pests that eat plants in their garden.

Well, Ladybugs aren't scary if you think about. Try letting a ladybug crawl around you. Make yourself let a ladybug crawl on your finger, for a little but of time, keep doing this till you get to where you are fine with it. Then you might not be so scared! Sorry, I'm not very helpful!

I understand how you feel. I'm terribly afraid of spiders. To help get over that, we found one of those big, funnel-web spiders in our basement, and we just left it there. We gave it a name (Derecho) and would go and see it every day. He was great, he ate other bugs that came by, and sort of became my buddy. We were actually sad when he died. So, maybe if you get a ladybug and name it, it might help.??
