A little over 2 weeks from today is Halloween. It is time to start getting prepared if you haven't already.
Did you know that chocolate makes up about 3 quarters of trick or treaters loot? (according to the National Confectioners Association). I do know that some dentists will swap out your bag of candy for some other type of goody, call your local dentist to see what they may offer.
In the event that the candy isn't scarfed down all at once, separate chocolate out and keep it in a cool, dry, dark place. Milk chocolate is good for no more than 8-10 months, while dark chocolate lasts up to 2years! Hard candy will also keep in a cool, dry place for about a year. Store soft candies in a covered dish away from direct heat and light. Enjoy then within 6 months. Do you guys keep your candy that long?
