Many people do not like their name that they were born with and wish they could change it. That is where today is your day. Welcome to National Joe Day, where it is perfectly okay to have everyone call you Joe. For the ladies you get to choose Josephine or Jody. Why the name Joe and not some other name like Bob? It is because everyone likes the name Joe. We have all heard of the phrase, "Joe Cool!"
Some people really do legally change their name. Destiny Hope Cyrus did not like her name and so she changed it to Miley Cyrus.
Here is something fun to do today. Why not throw a party and have those name tags, "Hello My Name is..." available to everyone. You can already write their names in since it will be Joe for the guys and Josephine for the ladies. Just think how much fun that would be. No more of "What was his name again? or Your name is on the tip of my tongue, give me a sec." It would be either be Joe or Josephine. If you want to be one of the first 3 posters today, you will have to introduce yourself as "Hi, my name is Joe" or "Hi, my name is Josephine."
