Christmas is coming soon,
Parents are shopping
And prices are dropping,
For mom a new coat,
For John a toy boat.
But what about Jesus,
Have we forgotten?
We oh so often fret,
This or that,
What should we get?
But what about Jesus,
Have we forgotten?
Mass at nine,
We can miss it, it's fine.
But what about Jesus,
Have we forgotten?
Jesus came down from Heaven to Earth,
And gave up his life for all that it's worth.
So on Christmas morning when you awaken,
Remember this,
Jesus is the reason for the season.

So what do you think? Do you think people have completely disregarded the fact that Christmas is the day Jesus came down form Heaven, so that he could save us from sin?

Great thread, This is the ture meaning of Christmas.

It's not that we can't be excited about the gifts and everything, But it's good to remember why we have Christmas!

Thank you, I got the inspiration to write it a few minutes ago when I saw an ad on T.V. for "Holiday Sales"

You are so right!! It is HIS birthday, not ours. We usually bake a birthday cake for Him.

Exactly, I remember back when I was in public school, and there was this one person who was STILL complaining that they didn't get the gift they wanted.
