Well, today is my favorite day. It's Friday the 13th. If you couldn't tell, 13 is my favorite number. But, there are a lot of people out there who don't like the number 13, and some who even have a phobia of it. What is a phobia? A Phobia is an intense and persistent fear of certain situations, activities, things, or people. There is actually a name for the fear of Friday the 13th - Paraskevidekatriaphobia.
Some other phobias:- Chemophobia - prejudice against artificial substances in favour of "natural" substances.
- Xenophobia - fear or dislike of strangers or the unknown, sometimes used to describe nationalistic political beliefs and movements. It is also used in fictional work to describe the fear or dislike of space aliens.
- Air- Anemophobia
- Animals- Zoophobia
- Automobile, being in a moving- Ochophobia.
- Automobiles- Motorphobia.
- Bacteria- Bacteriophobia.
- Bees- Apiphobia or Melissophobia.
