Webkinz :) Join Date: Jul 2008 Posts: 2,302 | Re: WHAT IS YOUR ROOM LAYOUT? Please Share! Here's my layout. I have 13 webbies, with many more waiting to be adopted. My room-making has slowed down a bit lately, and some of the rooms are unfinished right now. I don't have underwater or treetop rooms because I don't have any of those pets. My only small room is the bathroom. I never used to buy medium rooms, only large, but now I do if I'm making a basic bedroom.
I garden for profit, so my fruit and veggie gardens are in green. The medium and large rooms in purple are rooms where I don't want any more doors, either because they are businesses (stores or restaurants), or because of their wallpaper. The medium rooms in orange are free rooms that I got with adoptions, and use for storage (foods, clothing, or decorations).

It is so ironic that you should be the first to comment on my thread. I always enjoy reading your posts, you're right on!
Both you and Kittia101 mention using medium rooms. In my planning, I've been focusing on large, but I'm coming around.
I'm so glad I started this thread because just these few posts are helping me re-think a few things: large versus medium rooms, doors for stores/commercial rooms.
I watched a 3 -hour movie with my husband last night and was working on the floor plan at the same time. He kept asking me how I could spend so much time working on a house for Webkinz!! He just doesn't get it! | | | 11-08-2009, 08:55 AM | #5 | same thing Gifted Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 3,357 | Re: WHAT IS YOUR ROOM LAYOUT? Please Share! this would take me very long to figure out... so, i will just kinda describe.
ther is a 4 by 4 blob.
up: there are one (on the left) sticking up, more over 2 spaces, and two sticking up.
left: on the top of the blob, there is one room. go down 3 spaces, and there are 2 going left.
down: middle of the blob comes down to 2 rooms. then a room comes of one of those
right: this is where there is my intricate work. webkinz starts to fill these in ( ) because i haven't adopted 10 yet. so, there are 3 on the top going right. below that: space and a room.
below that: room room.
and thats my oddly shaped house. | | | 11-08-2009, 09:36 AM | #6 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Sep 2009 Posts: 39 | Re: WHAT IS YOUR ROOM LAYOUT? Please Share! He just doesn't get it! I changed my mind about medium rooms because I don't always have an entire theme in a room. I don't always add a bathroom or kitchen, or even a TV or dresser, to a bedroom, so large rooms can sometimes feel too empty with just a bed and seating area. It all depends. But with rare themes and businesses, you definitely need large rooms, and even then they can feel a bit cramped. And sometimes I end up putting 2 beds in a room.
Doors definitely matter with businesses. You need to decide if you want only one door. For most of my businesses, I have only 1 door. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
