Order of free rooms?

Does anyone know the position of the rooms that you get when you adopt a new pet?I am trying to plan my house but would like to minimize the number of doors in each room. I would hate to come up with a floor plan that works for me only to have it ruined by the new free room addition when i adopt another pet. I only have 2 pets so far. Can't adopt anymore pets right now

I know what you mean, I'm aftraid to adopt any new pets to my main account because I'm afraid it will mess up my "floor plan". As far as I know, it's random. I have 2 separate accounts I use to adopt new pets, I kinz post my pet items, exclusives, and most of the prizes I win in the magic forest, vacation isand, etc. to my main account.

for your first ten pets THEY CHOOSE THE ROOM LOCATION and yu have no control over it. i wish they would change that. but from there on out you can choose where your next rooms will go and can use a floor plan of your choosing. i wish id have had a floor plan from the beginning! so good for you for your foresight

No, Chipmunk They have never allowed you to choose where your new room would go. They DID allow you to name them, but that was really short-lived. I do have a couple of rooms that have 'unusual' names because they allowed us to keep previously named rooms. I have one called Desert sand...that is one of my favorites

Oh. Well I guess I am going to have to wait forever to add new rooms . Thank you everyone for answering my question. It would be nice too if we could name the rooms anyway we wanted too. I bet they changed that because of all the people who abused freedom. Thanks!

I think they changed the way we name rooms more because it was sometimes difficult for us to come up with rooms that were acceptable, and that was a big complaint. Why certain names were unacceptable was never really explained. Obviously, things with the word "bu.tt" or something won't work. Please pardon my language. Then they came out with the drop down menu, and we complain about that!!!!!!

As for having rooms randomly added........ I tried something that worked once. It may not always work, but what I did was leave 3 empty spaces in a vertical row, with rooms at each end. It was an obvious, blank space. I had 3 adoptions planned, and my 3 free rooms were put there. The rest of my house was pretty much a big block. You can try that. Again, I can't guarantee that it will work.

My best advice, though, would be to try to design some rooms where the doorways won't matter. Try to make do with those rooms for now. Then when you are finished getting free rooms, make the rooms with fewer, strategic doorways. That's also what I did. Right now I'm past my 10th adoption, so I'm making my "dream rooms," that have fewer awkward doorways.

the problem i have with the drop down menu is that they dont give us much choice. i have ten outside yards called either backyard or garden. why not give us choices of each theme and things like that?

i named one of my room 'Bedrock" because my cocodinosaurs live their and it remeinds me of the flintstones! thats my favorite name i got to choose.
