making an awesome wizard of oz room (inside) and was wondering what items i should use?can't use the fancy golden paths that i see on other house threads

the title pretty much says it all, but i was wondering what items i should use. what clothing items should i use for dorothy's costume? what are some items i should use in my room?

I've seen other members use yellow brick road found on the deluxe wheel but i you are not deluxe I was thinking you could use the multicoloured flooring- yellow.

For Dorthy I've noticed lots of members have used the blue 'retro' kinzstyle dress, ruby red slippers and the picnic basket that was the summer gift for 2009.

Some items that might be helpful is the scarecrow stand and a bunch of green stuff for the emerald city. You could also use the castle 'make-your- own' terret/turret fr the wizard of oz. Who's costume could be the wizard in training clothing machine outfit or the wizard outfit with glasses from series 2 trading cards.

I agree, the checkerboard carpet tiles, where you turn them to change the color. Path would be yellow and white.

Anything rainbow, since the big song from the movie is, "Somewhere, Over the Rainbow". Rainbow coffee table (Exclusive item), rainbow cloud sofa (pegasus PSI).

For Dorothy's outfit----- WShop smocked sundress, blue hair bow, red Mary Jane shoes (I think the WShop ruby slippers look more pink than red).

Toy doll house, for the house that fell on the witch. Hot air balloon (Curio Shop rare), and twister in a pot (Exclusive item). Fall Fest wheat sheaves for Kansas.

You can buy ruby slippers @ the kinzstyle outlet....cool idea 4 a room

You might want to have a few rooms together: her bedroom or outside yard before the twister where she sings Somewhere Over the Rainbow (known to be the number one all-time favorite song in the world). Maybe using some of the country theme.

Then, the yellow brick road part with paths and a corn field leading to a forest. Can the doll toys go in an outside yard to look like munchkins???

Then, the emerald city "room" or the throne room or the salon where they get prepared to see the wizard. Maybe the balloon the "wizard" flies back in?

Oh, I'm getting inspired!! This would be a great wing in the fantasy area of my house!!

You can use those tiles, I think they might work nicely. They may be only indoors though, which can be a problem. For a Dorothy Outfit, use the Summer Dress in the W-Shop
That's the best advice I can give you, I never was good at decorating!
