I need some decorating help...does anyone have ideas for a welcome room?

Hey guys, does anyone have any good and creative ideas on what to put in a welcome room? I have a small room, with only a little bit of stuff in it, and it is very un-inspirational. Since it is the first room someone will see when walking into my house, I really want it to pop.

This is what it currently looks like:


So, if you have any good, creative, and inspiring ideas, please let me know! I really am bored of this room and would like to give it a little pizazz.

First of all, I don't think the pink rug goes very well with anything else in the room. And look for better tables to put the flowers and the music box on. You need a rug by the door so that the webbies can wipe their feet when they come in. I'd suggest perhaps the long tatami map. Oh, a big plant in the empty near corner would help. But you are off to a good start.

Hey Sara! Okay, here are my thoughts.

1. I love the new Pink Theme, I think it has tons of pizazz. If you want the couch, rug and flowers, here are some thoughts:

• Use the white couch from the Condo Theme
• Use the new pink theme Flooring and Wallpaper
• Put one of the 2 pink wall-art things about the couch
• Next to the couch, put a side table from the pink theme and put an orchid on it
• If you want more seating, you can put one of the new pink couches, in the other corner, and use a white rug under it.
• Put a Silver Clock (from the condo theme) above one of the couches

If you want more ideas, just ask! Hope I helped!
Okay Sara, I texted you that I made a Sitting Room (or Welcome Room) It is basically what I described above.

Oh Meganmonkey, that room is darling. I was trying to work with some of the things Sara already had in there. I agree with you, I love the new pink condo theme.
