Because of the Snow White gowns and the still-unsolved Fairy Princess gown, I'm thinking of making a grand ballroom. I might actually make 2 ballrooms, a grand one, and a Jane Austen-type country ballroom. For the country ballroom, I was thinking of using the country store walls and a hardwood floor.
But I'm not sure about the grand ballroom. I won't buy the eStore Renaissance theme stuff. I was thinking the rare Ancient Civ. wallpaper might be nice, but I would want a different floor.
I want a big open space in the center for the dancing, but I thought I might line the walls with some seating and some "buffet" tables, maybe with the long red carpets in front of them. For live music, I don't know whether to use the ballerina piano or the Halloween organ, or both. Basically, I will be mixing-and-matching a lot of different stuff to create something very elegant.
So, any thoughts you might have, please let me know. Also, if you can check out the link in my siggie, to help me choose walls and floors, that would be great. I'd go with the ballerina piano and the little ballerina stool in front of it. I think that would look the nicest for the ballroom. Other than that I can't offer advice for anything else, my decorating isn't that great! __________________

OK, so maybe it's not a "ballroom"... but more of a ballet class. lol.

I don't have a Halloween room (I prefer Christmas!), but I was thinking that I should get the organ for something...... it wasn't there last year, and it's not too Halloween-ish.......
Tea, thanks for posting the pic! Ballet classroom is a great idea, too. And so funny that you use the movie theme ropes as your barre...... I'm making a tiki bar, and used one for my webbies to do the limbo!!!!! | | | 10-21-2009, 12:18 AM | #6 | oohoo!!! And seeing the pic from Beauty and the Beast, I'm thinking the gaming floor from the Curio Shop might be nice for a grand ballroom, but maybe not with the Ancient Civ. walls. I'm just all over the place with this.
The chandelier wall sconces are pretty cool. It's some sort of prize on Deluxe accounts, I think on the Deluxe Wheel. Funny you mentioned it, because my niece got one. When Deluxe members win a prize, the same prize is awarded to a random member, like the W-Cares prizes are. My niece won 5 or 6 Deluxe prizes (mostly foods, also the chandelier), IN ONE DAY!!!!!! It was unreal. But I would only ask her for it if she absolutely hates it, and who knows if I would ever get one some other way. But yeah, I can dream.
I would absolutely love to have a Renaissance themed room. I have all the rare themes, and I love them. But eStore...... I've had to spend money on the Fairy Falls and Magic Mire charms, and a few other things, but no way would I buy a room theme. Too much!
And the Renaissance theme is...... very pale in color, not very exciting, and hard to see. I like the idea of the theme, I just don't think they did it right.
And an update-------- I bought the 2 large rooms for my ballrooms. Not a lot of doors (ahhh, the power of having over 10 webbies and not worrying about random rooms added!). And I bought the 2 pianos and benches, and 1 Halloween organ, which I may or may not use.
And I won over 70 of the Snow White gowns. I will never own over 70 webbies, much less 70 girl webbies. I'm actually glad the Snow White ad is gone, I was getting sick of it, even though I loved the prizes. And my nieces went ape over it. | | | 10-21-2009, 12:41 AM | #7 | olf's Rain ♥ Webkinz :) Join Date: Aug 2009 Posts: 637 | Re: How Ironic----- I Need Decorating Help!!!! For the grand ballroom, I'm hopeless of your choice. Both Ancient Civilization wallpaper and flooring give off the most best 'regal-royal' look for a ballroom. Unless . . . if you really don't want to do the flooring of that theme, then my next choice would also be two other special kind of flooring. I really approve of the Magical Charm Forest Flooring. It gives a nice outdoor and comfortable air to the inside and solid colors of the Civilization wallpaper. The other one could be the Gem flooring, I think you can get it from Doug. It's really nice - sparkling, colorful, magical. It's divided into different valuable gems - and, who wouldn't want to do dance on a gem-ified and crystal-encrusted floor?! (:
Defitnetly the ballerina piano. It's soft and small, a nice and gentle classic look. Along with the small piano stool, too. (: __________________ ♥♥♥ "Everyone's gonna die. Webkinz :) Join Date: Jul 2008 Posts: 2,302 | Re: How Ironic----- I Need Decorating Help!!!! Thanks for your opinions, Leaf. One of my problems is that I already have the Ancient Civ. room theme, so I didn't want both the walls and floor in the grand ballroom. But you're right, somehow that would make the most regal ballroom. And I absolutely adore the AC flooring. I've had the AC room finished for a while now, but I might get another floor for future use, as something else. That's how much I like it.
I do have the Fairy Falls charms, and I want the Charm Forest walls and floor, but I'm using them for a Charm Forest room. I doubt I'd be able to get a second flooring.
And yeah, the gem floor would be interesting for a ballroom. I have 3 pets that trade gems with Doug, and I should be getting the 3 floors soon. A strong possibility. Also, it would look good with the Ancient Civ. wallpaper.
But I also think the CSO game flooring would make a great ballroom floor. It's a wood floor, but somewhat fancier. I think if I go that way, though, I would have to use wall paint. Ugh. Decisions, decisions, decisions!!!!!!
I haven't even figured out what to do about seating, or a buffet table, or other decorations!!!! A chandelier sconce would be wonderful, maybe the hippo painting (which i don't really like at all)..... Ugh, again. | | | 10-21-2009, 05:23 PM | #9 | Gift Trainee Join Date: Jun 2009 Posts: 1,898 | Re: How Ironic----- I Need Decorating Help!!!! WOW, that is SO crazy!! My mom bought be deluxe for a special reward and all I get is food on the deluxe wheel My mom was lucky enough to get the disko jacket once though, we now send it back and forth to each other to take turns wearing it
Just think about the castle set, 25 dollars I am not going to even try thinking about getting the themes, sometimes I forget this happens to be all virtual
Oh, that great! I can't wait to see your final product Be sure to keep up updated further into the process of recreating your vision
I was for sure getting sick of the ads, espically the pies. My pets don't like rare or special foods, they want the cheap freebies they get from kinzcare and gardening
Good luck decorating again! | | | 10-22-2009, 11:43 PM | #10 | oohoo!!! Webkinz :) Join Date: Jul 2008 Posts: 2,302 | Re: How Ironic----- I Need Decorating Help!!!! Update------- still thinking!!!!!!!
Gem flooring with AC walls would be lovely. But I have no idea what I would use for seating, what would show up against the floor and would look elegant enough. Maybe white silk sofas.
Hmmmm...... candelabras? Would it look stupid to use menorahs on tables? Depending on what menorahs they have for sale this December. I don't know if I want AC or Medieval candelabras in my ballroom. I don't think either would work. | | | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
