Default How do you make it look both inside and outside?

I'm trying to figure out how to make an inside room look like half of it is outside.

I thought maybe using a rug might work on an "outdoor-looking" floor or vice-versa. Any specific idea?

Thanks for your help!

Well, if you used something like a green floor, then covered half of the room with the square rugs that can change color, it would look like half grass and half tile flooring. I'm not sure what you could do about the walls to make it look half inside, half outside.

Or you could use the 2 sizes of tatami mats for the indoor half. And you could maybe lay them out in a cool pattern, like alternating them, depending on the amount of space you have.
