Pick a color wall paint, add a hardwood floor (many choices). If there isn't any furniture in that color, you can always use creamy vanilla furniture, which is very basic and inexpensive (it's my "go-to" furniture, when I have no idea what else to use). Then use decorations of that 1 color. You can also add things that are a close color.
I have an orange room, with the tangerine furniture (bed, side tables, sofa, coffee table). The walls are red, floor is orange (it came that way). I added the sunburst clock, rainbow flower vase next to the bed, mini orange tree, hibiscus tree, mushroom lamp, CSO orange side table, Fall Fest cornucopia, poster from last year's Fall Fest, and the jack o' lantern I just got from Trick or Treating (I may not leave it there). And some basic square windows.
I have a green room, medium size, for my eStore Peridot Dog. It came with a side table, coffee table, and tabletop lamp as PSI's, but you could use creamy vanilla furniture. I used green wall paint (the one named green---- there are several different green paints), and golden hardwood floor, which is an awesome combo. Modern windows, lime paintings, and a sunburst clock. A dining area with the fresh glass table and willow green chairs. A seating area in 1 corner, with a lime lounger and electric green chair, a cream side table with the PSI lamp, a bamboo plant, and 4 green groovy tiles set like an area rug. Creamy vanilla bed, PSI side table with spider plant on top. Another seating area, with a cream sofa, PSI coffee table with toy tea set on top, and simplicity lamp.
My blue room is a sitting room, to showcase my blue lava lamp. I used royal blue wall paint, with the movie theater flooring, another great combo. Stainless steel clock and modern windows. I also got an Exclusive time warp clock and put it in there. Corinthian pedestal for the lava. 2 white silk sofas and a blue stripe sofa.
Pink is sooooooo easy, since there are 4 WShop themes that have pink stuff. You can mix and match like crazy.
Small rooms can be used for dressing rooms. Make it cute, with a nice wall paint or wallpaper. Then add some storage, and a chair, maybe a mirror on the wall. You can assign them to specific pets, and keep that pet's clothes in there, if you have favorite outfits for them.
You could also make small bathrooms, maybe with different themes. There are basic white sinks, tubs, and toilets, so you can use wallpaper, flooring, and decorations to reflect the theme. Maybe themes like beach, jungle, pirate, pink, blue, etc.
Small rooms can also be hallways. Hang stuff on the walls. Have pedestals or side tables with plants on top. Random stuff on the floor, like toys or sports equipment, the kind of stuff you see on the floor in real life. You only need 1 or 2 things on the floor, so it's not cluttered-looking. | | | 11-02-2009, 08:55 PM | #3 | Cheeky*Hubba Bubba Webkinz :) Join Date: Nov 2009 Posts: 1,498 | Re: Anybody have room ideas? Lotsa empty rooms, here..... Would it help to have some closet/storage rooms? Either for food, "antiques", clothes, anything taking up room in your dock (except coupons and flooring/wallpaper!! LOL).
Have an intimate concert hall with a piano and a few chairs.
If a room has 4 doors, make an art gallery with some pictures on the walls, no windows, and a few pedestals with flowers or trophies on them.
SInce the rooms are small, a dressing room would be nice near a bedroom, leading into a bathroom to make a master suite. Maybe even a sitting room/reading area.
