I put my artist bed in a room with tile flooring and green wallpaper in the corner where you can see the front really good and then I mixed and matched in with some pony tail palms and the pharoah bed. You could also make an art studio and put it in that- or use it with weirameiner (or whatever its called) PSI. | | | 11-07-2009, 08:56 PM | #5 | Gifted Join Date: Aug 2009 Posts: 3,665 | Re: Any ideas for an Artist bed? HappySsey and FreakShow hit it on the nose.
I came up with the idea for award-winning paintings because I had 6 or 7 of those POTM wall medals (from the Wheel of the Month), and didn't know what to do with them. They're also good for a trophy room.
I have started an artist's room, too, though I don't have the superbed yet. It's a large room. I don't think I have a wall color yet, but I think I have a hardwood floor. I would suggest picking a great wall paint in your fave color, especially if it's kinda bright.
I have the 2 pink paintings, 2 lime paintings, modern and pop art prints, and a stained glass window, all on the walls with a medal next to each. You could use the hippo painting, but I went with the funkier art. You also don't need the wall medals.
I also have the Curio Shop funky chair and side table. In the front corner of the room, I have the drafting table, surrounded by mixed-and-matched kitchen cabinets (really colorful ones) for the art supplies, with crayons and markers on top of the cabinets. I think I also have some of the funky Exclusive plants, like the yin yang plant and sparkle plant.
Basically, anything colorful, funky, or artful, that reflects your personality!
