After Professor Binx traveled abroad to Egypt, he wanted to bring a piece of it back with him. As he began to learn about small business, a thought popped in his head! A library!!! A place where all people within a community can go to get more knowledge. Professor Binx tried to interpret Egypt the best that he could within his library, as a way to show another way of culture.

In the back left hand corner, there is a comfortable seating area, with plenty of lighting, so people can read or study as they visit the facility. There is also a computer area, which can be used with certain restrictions, to keep our younger scholars safe.

We have a special corner for the younger readers, which includes a digging station. Professor Binx was always impressed with the knowledge of the paleontologists as they dug for bones and such! The children think of this area as a TREASURE HUNT! There are also reference books, where they can look up their findings and know what it is , what it is used for, and where it is located. There is also a smaller selection of books available to the children in this area. The most popular book in this area is the inter-active book which is located on the pedastool in the corner of the young readers' area. This book reads along with you as you place the pen on the words. What a great way to teach the younger generation how to read!!! (We change the inter-active book out daily, to keep interest.)

Mrs. Binx is the librarian. She loves to read, and hosts several literacy events throughout each week. "These children are our future," she told us one day. She is pictured getting ready to help a young reader find a book by using her card catalog on the desk. There is also a special drop box for returned books by the desk, and a "tomb", which is used to store reserved books for readers who plan to pick them up at a certain time. The book of the week, voted on by the local readers, is posted by the bookshelves, between the blue ribbons. This helps Mrs. Binx know which books and book themes the readers are currently interested in; thus helping her choose books for her literacy events. Please stop in and say "hello" to Professor and Mrs. Binx if you are ever in the area.

And now, the fateful moment. If the elimination was based only on my scores, we would be saying good-bye to taytertots. If it was based only on footie's scores, we would be saying adios to kailyn31. But it all depends on the final scores.
