Question about Contests?

I have a question about the Contests here at WI. I was not sure if I should post here or in the "Somebody Help" section, so if I post this in the wrong section, I apologize.

Are non-gifted members allowed to participate in the Contests for items other than food? I know that only Gifted/Guru status can host, but are others that are not Gifted/Guru status allowed to participate in them as well?

I was going to say yes they can, and even read back through all the main contests rules {a couple which have changed/been updated more or less recently}. As far as entering any contest such as what you're talking about they should be open to any member of WI. I've never seen any that weren't open to everyone except a couple of giveaways that were directly related to the GE {the big one} so in that instance only were there restrictions on who could enter.

Hi, here are the rules regarding the Contests written by COWS4YOU. As is my understanding of them, non-gifted may only host contests for food.

BUT...If you are wondering about who can participate or post (enter) to win, ANYONE may do that If you host a giveaway, EVERYONE can come.
Like if you have PSF's and Recipe foods that are cluttering up your dock and you want to do a contest for those, that is an open invitation
