The Vernal Equinox springs from the unlikely romance between two lovebirds: Verna, a night owl biologically driven to love the night life; and Al, an early bird hard-wired to catch the crack of dawn worm. They had nests in the same tree, yet these birds of a different feather could seldom flock together. With night and day differing in length all year, one of them was always too weary to share much more than a longing glance before drowsing. It seemed their love affair might never take flight. But at twilight one March day, the sun and the moon looked down upon Verna and Al at the exact same time. As star-crossed lovers themselves, the sunny ball of energy and quietly reflective moon knew only too well the tragedy of a love that could never be. The sun and moon granted their kindred spirits two perfectly balanced days a year when both birds could be refreshed enough to spend the entire 24 hours together. Through the joining of Verna and Al, the “Vernal” Equinox was formed. |
