I think it was rereleased last year or the year before for halloween. But you're right if it's marked retired it's not supposed to come in stores again ever.

I just bought a Lava Dragon at a yard sale on Sat for $3.00. For my daughters birthday. I'm so glad that I got it. I also got a turtle for $3.00 also.
