Rares gone crazy!

My goodness! First we wait for our daily single rare items to be rationed and now this - is Arte cleaning house? Too bad more Ancient Civilization walls/floors don't go on sale. That's what I really need!

I know. I find it highly frustrating that the Ancient Civ walls and floors are Rares rather than CSO's like the medieval walls and floors. I'm planning to do more than one room with Ancient Civ stuff, and it's not fun to have to wait a couple of months for the walls and floors to show up again.

Does anyone know why it is that the Medieval walls and floor are CSO and all the other rare themes have walls and floors that are actual rares?

I waited for months for my Aztec flooring to show up I had a decent collection of Aztec stuff and the walls, but only that gray 'no floor' floor. (Finally got it!)

You know what's worse? Charm Fairy flooring. I've had the wallpaper for *ever*. I can't get the right charm I need to get the topiary or the flooring.

Hang in there -- they're just "training" us to buy all the rares whenever Arte offers them up so we won't ever be without again. :p

While there's a certain pleasure in owning a "matched set", the egyptian and azted rares show up to better advantage on a plain painted floor (but certainly not the grey floor). Dark blue with Egyptian, or the Atlantis flooring, look great. Aztec with the dark red or green floors or walls look stunning.

My problem is that I've got pretty much all the rares I want. I have all of the rare themes, and there are only a couple of things I still need (shields from Medieval and Ancient Civ., and I need more than 1 of each). I waited forever for the Medieval bed, then I got it.

I actually miss the days of fretting over not getting the rares I needed!!!!!! I have plenty of KC, too!!!!!! So don't be in such a hurry to finish your rares, because then you have nothing to anticipate!!!!!!!

Agreed, and I love webberlily's idea about the wShop floors in rare rooms! Wish I would have thought about it back when I was dealing with "no floor gray". (Instead I spread out some area carpets to make it less hideous. Didnt work too well.) Oftentimes being in a bind between rares inspires some really neat design!

There is a pattern of Ganz having extra rares for sale during the last 2-3 weeks of the quarter. Watch for more rares during the rest of September. Happy Hunting!

This was true during the last half of June. Ganz has sales targets to meet. If this sales strategy keeps up, they would have the same deal during the end of December.

i was the opposite. i got the floors right off, but i just got the walls!!! i want to finally get the tiara, but i don't know if i'll live that long. lol. i am basically finished with all the rares as well. mainly just some chairs to go. i am looking forward to new halloween and christmas stuff. i wish they would bring back nutcrackers
