Question about Rare items in Curio Shop

I was at the Curio Shop and Arte said the "I'll have something coming in in the afternoon." I clicked over to check on my pet and then clicked back to the Curio Shop, less than 2 minutes had passed. When I clicked on the Rare Items, Arte said, "I don't have anything for you today." What gives? I don't understand? When Arte does have Rare items, are they only there for 60 seconds or less? What fun is it to constantly not know when Arte is going to have something? I'm working myself silly trying to make enough KC to tip him 100 KC each time, so that maybe he will tell me what time the Rare items come in.Of course, I realize that even if I did get to see what rare item he had, I probably couldn't afford it. It would take all my KC if I bought it. Looking at the chart at the top of this page, I see that the Deluxe members rares items are always cheaper than the regular rare item. How come? Doesn't seem fair to me. Oh, well...I'll just go back to the arcade and try to win more and more KC. Sorry to be so negative today, but Ganz just doesn't play fair in my opinion. Still....it's mostly a fun place to be. Just wish earning "prizes" was a little bit easier. It takes way too long! I think I need a nap! (heavy sigh!)

Thanks, Shooting Star, I agree with you! I think the WI Rare Items Time is better. I wonder if this problem is just another glitch Ganz is working on? I hope so! lol!

Hi Star Child! welcome to the madness of the curio shop and the hunt for rares.

I don't know what level you are on right now for the curio shop, but Arte is very reliable. Depending on your level, there is one saying for the afternoon and one for the evening. Perhaps your 2 minutes were the change of the hour from 5:59 to 6:01pm?

The price for Rares is always the same. The same item at the same price whether on Deluxe or Regular accounts. It's just a coincidence that cheaper items have been offered on Deluxe the past few days, another time it will be reversed. But the price for a particular item doesn't change.

Thanks so much for the info, Webberlily! Today I got to the level where Arte tells you what time the rare items are up for sale. The Regal Banquet Table was for sale at 4pmKT (3pm my time). When the time came, I went to Arte's Shop and he said, something to the effect, that the item was there. However....I clicked on the Rare Items button and......nothing. So, when there is a rare item and you do know the time....just where do you go to purchase the item? What am I missing here? Isn't it suppose to show up in Arte's Rare Item place? Sorry....I'm so confused!! But, at least I am on level 7 (I think) and Arte will tell the times. Gotta start saving my KC!!! I want to get a few Rare Items for my little ones to enjoy!

The Regal Banquet Table was indeed in the Curio Shop from 4 to 5pm KT Friday. If you are talking about a north american account, and you are in Central time, it would have been there from 3 to 4pm your time. It was not a Deluxe item, so all should have seen it. If you didn't see it and you were at the right time, try clearing your cache and re-booting.

You will find the Rare among the 12 items for sale in the Curio shop, and it's there for the full hour. I don't understand why you couldn't purchase it...

Thanks, Webberlily. I think that I missed it because of the time difference. I'll just have to pay better attention and remember I'm an hour behind the KT time! I'm hoping that Arte will put up some of the Egyptian items. I doubt if I'll be able to get it all, but I would like to have a couple of the things. Thanks, again, for all your help!
