How about you? What could it be?! Unfortunately, I think a French Provincial theme in blue and white was just developed for the e-store, probably greatly lowering the chance of getting anything French as a rare theme from Arte.
What do you guys think about an Indian rare theme? (As in the Subcontinent, not Native American.) I was thinking that that could end up looking really opulent. There's sort of a lot to chose from stylewise since Indian history stretches back several millennia, so they might have to chose whether they wanted something with more of a Mughal look to it or whether they wanted to go for something pre-Mughal, or whether they created a mix of the two. | | | 07-27-2009, 10:55 PM | #12 | I ♥ British Webkinz :) Join Date: Jul 2009 Posts: 1,692 | Re: I am ready for a new C-Shop theme! How about you? What could it be?! What about a Cruise Ship or luxury yacht theme?
The Cruise Ship could have deck chairs in rows (like the theatre but nicer than the beach) a climbing wall, a kiddie pool, the TV could look like a stage, a food buffet, a ship steward outfit, a ship captain outfit, a clipboard & whistle accessories, etc. Or the whole thing could look like the inside of a cabin with all the furniture "built-in". | | | 08-03-2009, 04:15 AM | #16 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Jul 2009 Posts: 144 | Re: I am ready for a new C-Shop theme! How about you? What could it be?! Here's another idea. My son has thought that he would like to have a Cave theme in the W-shop. This would also work well for a Rare theme.
Obviously they'd need to start out with some suitable wallpaper and flooring to make it look like living rock. I'm not quite certain where to go with things like the obligatory bed, dining table, side table, coffee table, and chairs.
One obvious thing to do would be a Stalagmite Trophy Pedestal. Another fairly obvious thing would be a Cave Column (where a stalagmite and stalactite have grown together) just like most of the Rare room themes have a column appropriate to the architecture.
This would be the perfect opportunity to create another indoor decorative pool. (I can only think of one pool that can go indoors at this point.) Some sort of waterfall feeding into the pool would be even better... Call it something like the Underground Spring. I'd like to see a number of the more dramatic formations of limestone caves available as decorative features for the room, such a a Frozen Limestone Waterfall. I suppose some sort of fireplace appropriate to the room could be dreamed up, preferably a 3-D fireplace and not one of those that sticks onto the wall like a poster. Or have some sort of open hearth-pit, either with animated flames or for use as a stove. (In any case, it would be a good idea if they made that particular item able to be used as a sort of all-purpose camp-fire by allowing it to be placed both indoors and out (as well as in treetops, of course. And, while we're at it, hey why not underwater too, since it's fun to add a touch of the surreal occasionally.)
Any buyers? I think a Cave Theme would be fun for a lot of people for a lot of different reasons. My son came up with the idea because he has a Webkinz Bat. I believe that he also has a Lil'Kinz Black Bear, and the PSI is a Cave bed. There is also a Grey Wolf who might feel at home living in a cave, and of course the new e-pets the Woolly Mamoth and Pteradactyl practically need a cave. I'm also thinking that a cave might be a very good place to put some of those new gemstone items that you can trade with Doug the Dog for. And then there are some of us who just have a fascination with caves. | | | 08-03-2009, 04:26 AM | #17 | uv U! Join Date: Jul 2008 Posts: 18,175 | Re: I am ready for a new C-Shop theme! How about you? What could it be?! Rodentmom, a Cave is an excellent idea. I'd really like that. As for the couch, side table, etc, I'd suggest all rocks, boulders, you know. Like the headboard of the Black Bear bed. This would have many uses. I've often wished to be able to place boulders or large stones here and there, in mazes for example, or in jungles or lakes. I like your stalagmite/stalagtite ideas too. | | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
